Ashby Lemi – Babies 62 and 63

Lolita was doing well in school.  She had had made two really great friends.  Susannah Foss AKA Sus and Tucker Abbott.

Screenshot-94

The three of them were inseparable and where there was one the others weren’t far behind.  On the weekends my house was full of teenagers, but it was something I was use to and actually enjoyed.  Even little Joab loved having the extra people around; especially Tucker.  Joab was a very sweet and kind boy, but I’m sure it wasn’t easy being in a household of woman.  Sure there was Asher, but as I mentioned before he was losing himself in work and was still talking about another move.

Screenshot-2 (2)

“Joab, Honey, it is time to go to bed.”  I would call to him after putting the twins to bed.  After tucking in my son I would head to my own bedroom to read or work on my blog to allow the teens some privacy.

Screenshot-96

On most weekends I would descend my stairs on a Saturday or Sunday morning and find them all crashed on the couch.  I was so glad that my girl had found such great kids to be friends with.

Then at the end of her Sophomore year she told me that she had a friend who was about to graduate and ship out.  He had joined the military and was already slotted to head out to the war.  She had met him when she was a Freshman and he was a Junior and even though she wasn’t as close with him as Tucker and Sus she still cared for him a lot.  I didn’t understand why she was telling me about him and when I expressed my confusion she took me by the hand and lead me into the living room and asked me to sit.

“Mom, the reason I’m telling you about him is because I want to throw him a graduation party.”

I gave her a puzzled look.  “Wouldn’t his family do that for him?”

Lolita sat down next to me and rubbed the fabric on her pants.  “Well that is the thing. He doesn’t have much of a family and his grandma can’t afford it.  Donnell’s mom left him with his Grandma when he was two and she never came back to get him.  His grandma was already retired, she had kids later in life, and since the day she took him in they have been living only on her retirement which isn’t much.  He is such a nice guy, Mom, and I just wanted to give him something to remember when he ships out.”  She chewed on her bottom lip waiting for my answer.

Really how could I say no to that?  Finding out you were raising a child with such a kind heart was the most wonderful feeling of all.  I agreed that we would throw this boy a party, but I had to meet him first.  Donnell and I met a few days later and we went over the plans for the party.  He was a very grateful young man and it was my pleasure to throw him a party.

Then it was graduation day for him and the start of summer vacation for my two and their friends.

Screenshot-4 (2)

Screenshot-5 (2)

There isn’t a party out there that doesn’t involve dancing, and dance the kids did.

Screenshot-10 (2)

Oh and we can’t forget karaoke.  The kids had a great time and it warmed my heart to be able to help out a family like this.

Screenshot-141

Donnell’s grandmother, Mimi, was able to make it.  She was sick, but she didn’t want to miss out on her grandson’s graduation.  After the party Mimi and I became friends and we Lemi’s looked in on her while Donnell was away.  He was very grateful  to his grandmother for giving him the life she did and it was just refreshing to see such a great family.

Screenshot-7 (2)

A few days after the party Donnell came to say good-bye.

Screenshot-8 (2)

“Thank you so much for the great party.”  He whispered into her ear as he pulled her into a tight hug.

“It was my pleasure.  That is what friends do for one another.”

“I know, but just know that your kindness has been the best gift I have ever received.”

Screenshot-9 (2)

When they pulled apart her light tone changed.  “Be careful out there.  Come home safe and make sure you write me.”   He agreed and with one last good-bye Donnell Houston left Sunlit Tides to join the troops in war.

It is a sad thinking about the men and women out their fighting for our freedom, but they are out there doing the job they choose and for the rest of us life continues.

As summer progressed so did relationships.

Screenshot-89

Tucker and Lolita started to spend time together just the two of them when Sus was out with her family or her boyfriend.  They found more and more things in common.

Screenshot-83

By the end of the summer they were an official couple.  It was something Lolita had to get use too, but she really, truly liked Tucker Abbott and they made a cute couple.  It was a story she couldn’t wait to write to her Pen Pal Donnell about.

DEAR DONNELL

Screenshot-91

The summer has been great.  Tucker, Sus and I have had a great time just hanging out and enjoying the sun, beach and each other.

Screenshot-14

Tucker even taught me how to play hacky sack and I am actually pretty good at it.

Oh and guess what?  Tucker and I are now dating.  He is the sweetest guy.  I just can’t believe that I’m in a relationship.   It is such a foreign and wonderful feeling.  I just know that when you get home you will find a girl as great as my Tucker and you will know what I am talking about.

I hope you are well.

Stay safe

Your friend
Lolita Lemi

DEAR LOLITA

Screenshot-11 (2)

Well  it is hot over here.  There isn’t much to do, but we do get some time off.  When that happens we hang around camp and play basketball….

Screenshot-13 (2)

or some ping pong.  I have found out that I am pretty good at it.  Not like Forrest Gump or anything, but I am undefeated in my platoon.

Screenshot-14 (2)

The guys I am stationed with are all really great guys.  They tell me about their wife’s or girlfriend’s; some of them have kids and their stories makes me wish I had, had more in Sunlit Tides before I left.  It just makes me that much more determined to find someone when I return home.

Screenshot-16 (2)

But to be honest is rains a lot here and I find myself just thinking.  I think about you and your family.  I think about how you are all wonderful people and that you should feel lucky that you are part of such a unique and amazing family.

As for you and Tucker I knew it was only a matter of time.  He has always been sweet on  you.

Your friend,

Donnell Houston

DEAR DONNELL

I thought about what you said in your last letter and you are right.  I am blessed to have such a great family.  Sometimes I feel out if place that mom has so many kids and all with different men, but she and Asher do a great job with us and we are all loved.  So thank you for reminding me that my life could be worse.

Speaking of my mom’s challenge.  She is pregnant with the next baby.  The dad is the famous challenge father Aiden Swan.  He wasn’t a planned father, but he came into town for business of some kind and looked up my mom.  They had met when my sister-in-law Dawn Turner took her to his birthday party.

Screenshot-13 (3)

They went on a picnic and spent time catching up.  He filled her in  on the tragedy of his life as well as the love he had and she filled him in on all the good my siblings have done in the sim world.

Screenshot-27

They walked around Sunlit Tides laughing and catching up and then ended their night at the point where they indulged in some coffee.

“So who is your next father?”  Aiden asked my mom.

“I’m not sure.  The next birthstone dad isn’t available right now so I am going to have to figure out something else.”

“Well I am in town for a couple of days why don’t you let me be the next daddy?”  Aiden blushed.

“Really?  You would do that for me?”

“Who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to be in the famous Ashby Lemi’s challenge?”  Aiden knew the right words to say.

So they made an appointment at the A.I. facility and when Aiden left Sunlit Tides my mom was pregnant.

The prospect of new babies in the house is exciting, but it also means that it will soon be my time to move out of the Lemi house which scares me a bit.

Well be safe and keep in touch.

Your friend,
Lolita Lemi

~~

The letters went on and on and before I knew it two years had passed.

Screenshot-32 (3)

A lot of things had changed.  The biggest being that Mimi Houston, Donnell’s grandmother, had passed away.  I had brought her to my house so that she could be surrounded by people who loved her and she went peacefully.  She is truly missed.  We had become really good friends.

Screenshot-33 (2)

Aiden and I had twins; two healthy rambunctious kids.  A little girl we called Hewitt and a little boy we call Harcus.  It appears they both got my eye and hair color as well as my skin tone, but little Harcus is a witch just like his daddy.

Screenshot-26 (2)

Ireland and Kenley aged into fine young children.  Kenley’s genie powers started to show and Ireland was in awe of her sisters abilities and would often ask her to show her “tricks”.

Screenshot-39 (2)

But with just a little bit of glitter Ireland could pretend she had abilities just like Kenley and that she ruled over the land with them.

Screenshot-37 (2)

However, when they played dress-up Kenley was content in just being a dainty princess.

Screenshot-6 (4)

Joab grew into a loving, nurturing teenager.  He loved all creatures great and small and I have never had a teen quite like him before.

Screenshot-3 (5)

Lolita grew into a stunning woman.  Her plan, after the summer, was to go to the University with Tucker and Sus.  Asher and I agreed to let her stay until the semester started, but then she got some news that rocked her world.

~~

LOLITA’S POV

I was excited to join my best friend and boyfriend at the university in the fall and was thrilled that mom and Asher let me stay, but then I got a phone call that changed everything.

“Hello?”

“Is this Ms. Lolita Lemi?”  The man on the other line asked.

“It is.”

“I’m calling from the Sims Military about Sergeant Donnell Houston.”

I couldn’t help it my breath caught in my throat, but I managed to croak out a question,  “Is he okay?”

“It was injured in a blast and has been in the hospital for the past few weeks.  He is healthy enough to return home and you are listed as his contact.  Are you able to take him into your home during the rest of his recovery?”

I didn’t hesitate,  “Yes..Yes of course I am.”  I knew mom and Asher wouldn’t mind.  She and Mimi had been very close so she would help out Donnell if he needed it.

Weeks went by and finally we got word that he was coming home.  Asher went to the airport to pick him up.

Screenshot-5 (4)

When I saw Asher coming up the walk I ran out the door to greet them, but stopped dead in my tracks when I saw him.  I was mortified as he was in a wheel chair.  I fought the tears back as I helped Asher get him into the house.

Donnell told us that during a blast he had been pinned by a building beam and now he was unable to walk.  My heart broke for him and all I could focus on was helping him get better and over the devastation.

Screenshot-11 (5)

That summer I spent all of my free time with Donnell.  I took him to his physical therapy appointments, to the beach, to lunch and everywhere.  I found myself breaking dates with Tucker and the two of us arguing much more then we should, but I had a strong obligation to help Donnell.

Screenshot-12 (5)

Then about two weeks before I was scheduled to go to the university I went into the room that Donnell shared with my brother Joab and found him sleeping. I decided I would help him get into bed so he could get a decent nights rest, but when I bent over him to pull him from his chair he woke and misread what I was doing.

Screenshot-7 (4)(Thank you Becks Best for making this pose for me)

His hands shot to my face and he pulled me forward.  Sliding his tongue between my lips he kissed me so passionately that when I finally found  the sense to pull away I was breathless.

“What the Hell Donnell  you know I have a boyfriend.”  I was angry but was puzzled that I wasn’t as angry as I should be.

“I know you do and I know you care for him, but you can’t deny there is something between us Lolita.  I love you and I have always loved you.  I want you to be with me.  Marry me.  Have my babies and live a life with me.”

I stood there dumbfounded not knowing that to say……

TO BE CONTINUED:

Thank you readers for once again joining me on a Lemi tale.

I need your help.  I can’t decided who Lolita should be with:

Ashby Lemi’s – Babies 55 and 56

What an anomaly; the kids were all in bed and the house was quite.  Asher and I decided to take a little time for ourselves.  We ventured out to the edge of our property and sat down in the soft sand as we gazed at the beauty of the Island.  We sat in silence for a while before I had the urge to whisper sweet nothing’s in my husband’s ear.

“I love you Asher Lemi.”

Asher turned to me and there was pain on his face.  I searched his face and eyes trying to figure out why such a look was crossing his handsome face.

“I love you to Ashby.  We need to talk.”

Those four small words sounded ominous and panic quickly filled me.  “A..About what?”  I choked out.

He took my hands into his.  “We need to move.”

My panic started to subside, but I was still left confused.  What did he mean we had to move?  We had just moved to the island, where was this coming from?

“What do you mean?”

He scooted closer to me.  “I have been given the opportunity to open a second location of the restaurant in a place called Sunlit Tides.  I know we just moved here, but this is a great opportunity.   I hate to uproot you and the kids again, but I don’t think I can pass up this opportunity.”

The two of us sat staring at one another for a long time.  I didn’t know what to say or how to say anything I may have to say.  Finally he broke the silence.  “I understand if you don’t think you can come with me.”  He let go of my hands.

This broke me out of my shock.  The tone in his voice was defeat and surrender.  There was one thing in this world that I knew and that was I loved Asher and I would follow him anywhere.

“When do we have to leave?”  This time I grabbed his hands.

“You will go with me?”

“Babe, I would go with you anywhere.”

“We will need to leave in two weeks.”  He looked away from me as if a bomb was about to it and I rarely lose my cool with my husband, but I have to admit I almost did in this incident.

“What?  That isn’t a lot of time to pack and we had plans for Violet, A.J. and Christy to come visit us in two weeks.”

“I know, but I figured that they could move their visit back two days and come to Sunlit Tides to help us move into our new home.”

Men…..they never seem to think anything through.

However, I have amazing friends and they were happy to be flexible and help us into our new home.

~~

We arrived in Sunlit Tides and I was astounded by how beautiful it was, and when the cab pulled up to our new house I was happy to see my friends already there and were already unloading the truck.

Mason, Marko and Monroe took care of the toddlers Lavinnia, Luna and Weaver in our new yard as we adults dug in to get the truck unloaded and at least the beds set up before nightfall.  It is surprising what five adults can do when they set their mind to it. We accomplished our goal and after Violet and Christy helped me get the kids to bed that night we all had a nice glass a wine and fell into our own beds exhausted.

Asher went right to work the day after we moved to Sunlit Tides and over the next week my friends worked hard to help me get my house in order, but that is not all we did.  We also took some time to enjoy Sunlit Tides.

The second night, after Asher got home from work, Violet, Christy and I went to the famous Sunlit Tide spa and the girls talked me into go with a new look.  After facials and massages I got my hair colored.  I liked my new look, but I wasn’t expecting the greeting I got when we returned home.

“Mom! What did you do to your hair?”  Mason gasped when I went into his room to make sure he was getting ready for bed.

“I got a make-over.  Do you not like it?”

“Um…well…It is pretty, but it is so weird.”  He was truthful.

I chuckled.  “Well my dear boy you will get use to it.  Now get your pj’s on and go brush your teeth.”  I leaned forward and kissed him on his forehead.

“Night mom.”  He gave me a 2nd looks and grabbed his Pjs.

Kids they are just the best thing in my life.

In Sunlit Tides almost every house had a pool and our house was no exception.  After a long day of unpacking and setting up we ladies would sit around the pool with some nice cold tea talking spending time catching up on our lives.  I really missed my friends and I was so glad they were there with me.  Asher was already real busy at work and I would have gone crazy if I had to make this transition alone.

We spent some time out by the ocean, relaxing and enjoying being together.

As I watched my friends I admired how Violet and A.J. always looked at one another.  They truly are meant to be.

The day before my friends had to leave we had a party on the beach.  It was time all my children to enter their next stage of life.  The party was s success and everyone had a great time.

From left to right: Mason, Monroe and Marko.  What handsome, amazing teenagers came home that night.

And three beautiful children.  Lavinnia, Luna and Weaver.

Family photo time.  My kids dressed up in their new outfits and Christy took this lovely photo.  Thank you Christy Quinn.

The next day I took my friends to the airport.  As we waited for them to board we were able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee where Violet made an announcement.

“Ashby, you are one of my dearest friends and my sister-in-law we can’t keep letting so much time go between visits.”

“Honey, we live in different places.”  A.J. tried to interject.

“Shhsh..you..I’m talking.”  Violet held up her finger and looked at her husband.

A.J. chuckled and took a sip of his coffee.  He was use to his wife getting her mind-set on something.

“Anyway since my husband thinks this is ridiculous I’m just going to say this.  We need to see each other more.”  She too took a drink of her coffee and then the announcement came over their plan was boarding.  I said good-bye to my friends and headed home.

~~

My friends were gone, my husband working long hours putting together a new restaurant and all six of my kids were at school.  This left me at home with just the pets.  Don’t get me wrong Fire, Hazel, Tigeress, Sneaky and Cesar kept me busy and entertained, but I was anxious to continue my challenge.  However I wasn’t sure how I would do that since the men that I had lined up before were still back on the island.  I couldn’t ask them to relocate a second time.

Then a turn of events gave me the opportunity I was looking for when I got a knock on my front door.

When I opened my door I saw Becks Best and Logan Fey standing at my door.  I had never met these two in person, but we had become friends on Simbook as they are part of the Challenge Family.  How could I forget they lived in Sunlit Tides.  Seeing them I couldn’t hide my excitement.

“Becks, Logan how did you know?”  I ran out and hugged them both.

“We saw on Simbook that you had moved here.  I ran into Asher in town yesterday and he gave me your address.”  Logan informed me.

“I’m so glad to see you both.”  I gushed.  “I’m going stir crazy being home alone all day.”

“Well come on then.  We are taking you out for the day.”  Becks grabbed my hand and pulled me down the porch steps.

“Where are we going?” I laughed pulling out of her grasp to lock the door.

The three of us had a wonderful day together.  We went shopping, had lunch at a cute place and they showed me all the hot spots of Sunlit Tides.  I was so thankful I would have friends here in Sunlit Tides.  Then as the sun began to set we had dinner at a cute outdoor restaurant by the ocean.

When our meal was done Logan wiped his mouth and stood up.   He extended his hand out to me.  “Ashby can we talk?”

I looked over at Becks, who had a grin on her face, and she wagged her eyebrows up and down at me.  “Um…Sure.”  I replied taking his hand and standing up myself.

He led me to a cute little bench away from the mass of people at the restaurant.  We sat down and he didn’t waste any time.

“Ashby, I know having to move so suddenly has put a crimp in your challenge and I wanted to lend my assistance.”

I looked at him with a puzzled expression.  “What are you talking about Logan?”

“Well I’m a challenge dad and you’re a challenge mom.  I am asking to join your challenge Ashby.  Haven’t you ever been asked this before?”

“Sure I have, but..”  I let my sentence trail off as I began to think.  With Logan’s help I could continue with my challenge and find more dads while I was pregnant with Logan’s baby.

“Ashby are you okay?”  Logan snapped me out of my daze.

“Yes I am more than fine.  Thank you so much Logan.”  I wrapped him in a hug and we agreed to meet the next day to work on the details and make an appoint at the A.I. clinic.

We returned to Becks and took a seat.  “Soooooooo…….did you take him up on his offer?”  She quizzed.

“You knew about this?”  I was baffled.

“Of course I did.  Logan in my best friend.  We tell each other everything.  So will there be more Logan babies running around Sunlit Tides?”

I couldn’t help but laugh.  “Yes there will be.”

“Whooohoooo.”  Becks cheered and Logan and I laughed.

~~

Before I knew it the kittens grew up.  Tigeress looking all regal and pretty.

Sneaky all slim and colorful.

During this pregnancy I just enjoyed it and spent time with my family. Fishing was something the whole family enjoyed doing.

Um Lavinnia my girl are you a bit confused?

Luna that is incredible.

~~

Then before I knew it, it was time for my boys to leave the house.

We said our goodbyes and the boys set off into Sunlit Tides to make their mark on the world.

Monroe, took Sneaky with him, and enrolled in art school.  He is doing really well and is dating a woman by the name of Iris Adams.

Marko, my little Loner took Tigress with him, and he got a job at the science facility.  His ultimate goal is to become a robot cross breeder.  Whatever that is.

Mason, my brave and selfless boy, joined the ranks of the firefighters in Sunlit Tides.  I am so very proud of him, but I worry everyday about getting a devastating call.

~~

Time flies when you are having fun as the old saying goes and this pregnancy was taking a toll on my body, and when I went into labor I couldn’t have been more ready.

I was blessed with two beautiful children from Logan Fey.

Raven Fey Lemi and

Hardy Fey Lemi

Not long after the twins turned into tot’s Hardy began to show signs of odd behavior.  He would snarl at people, growl and tear things to shreds.  I was worried and didn’t know what to do, but when his eyes began to give off an odd, eerie glow I picked up the phone.  I had to find out what Logan Fey failed to tell me before we conceived children together.

Thank you for reading.  I hope you all enjoyed it and as always I would love to hear what you thought of this post.

Ashby Lemi’s – Babies 52, 53 and 54

***WARNING*** There is some adult content in this post. No pictures just story.

SEELY’S POV

Howdy folks. It is me Seely White-Birch Lemi. I write the tale of my youth with a heavy heart, but mom says that writing down things that make you sad or bother you sometimes helps. Let’s hope she is right. I want the pain in my heart to go away. So where to start?

Well I aged into a teenager…whoopee doo!  It was lonely without my twin brother there to celebrate it with me.  Sure my family was great and we had a fun party, but when you are a twin there is just that connection.  It is that knowledge that no matter what there is something there that gets you, someone who understands you, but Jones was gone.  We did skype that night and we were both in awe of how different we looked from one another, but he went on and on about how great his new school was and about a girl name Naddy that he had met.  He was doing well when I was just lonely.

School wasn’t any better for me.  I did get myself acquainted with a couple of kids at school, but none that I would classify as friends, and I did well in school, but I wasn’t invited to parties or out with others my age.  They thought I was odd and they just didn’t understand me.  Since aging into a teenager Jones’ contact became less and less.  He was spending a lot of time with his new best friend, Naddy, and he was quite popular in school.

Being bored and alone all the time I took up reading about the 100 baby challenges.  There are so many out there that I didn’t know where to start so I stated with my sister-in-laws, Dawn Turners, challenge.  It was fun to read about my brother, Newbie, and how he and Dawn fell in love.  Next I read Aunt Violet’s challenge.  I know Asher isn’t my real dad, but he is so much a part of my life that I consider A.J. and Violet my aunt and uncle.  That too was a lot of fun to read because of the ties my family has to the Newbie/Lemi household.  Next up was Christy Quinn’s challenge and I have to say I am eager to continue reading her journey.  Finally I read my mom’s challenge.

I found it strange reading about my mom and my siblings and even though I knew about Connery my heart broke for her when she lost him and then soon after five of my sisters, but what I found even more captivating was the comments people left.   The people were kind and really seemed to care about my mom and it was fun to read their comments.

Then one day one of the comments was directed at me and I was shocked.  It said:

Hi Ms. Ashby, my name is Devin Tuttle and I really love your blog.  I admire you so much for doing the 100 baby challenge and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and your family.  I have to also say that I have a huge crush on Seely.  Could you possibly tell him hi for me?  It would mean the world.  Thank you.  Devin.

I posted a comment back to her thanking her and soon we ended up exchanging emails and becoming online friends.  Even though she was younger than me she got me.  She understood my quirks and she was just as quirky as I was.  She made me laugh and honestly her friendship got me through the rest of the time I was in high school.

Not long after we became friends we discovered that we would be aging up at the same time and plans were made for her to make a trip to the island so we could celebrate together.  Her mom had agreed because she felt guilt that since her and her dad got divorced Devin didn’t socialize much and she thought that my friendship was a good one for her daughter.

The day arrived and a car brought her to my house.

Isn’t she just cute as a button?

We had a whole weekend together and we had the time of our lives.

It was great spending time with her.  We went to the park, to the boardwalk and swimming.  I never got annoyed or tired of spending time with her.  I didn’t want her visit to end.

The day she had to leave was the day we aged up (I know I don’t look much different).  That morning we had a small party with my family where I aged into a Young Adult.  After the celebration Asher helped me pack my car, and I said good-bye to my family.

Since Devin had a couple of hours before she would age into a teenager the plan was for us to go to dinner (where she would age up) and then I would drive her to the airport and after that Sassy and Sake and I would head to our new apartment.  I couldn’t leave without the dogs and Asher and mom were gracious enough to allow me to take them.

Devin and I dressed in our best clothes, her idea she wanted to feel like an adult, and headed to the bistro where we ate outside so we could let the dogs lay close by so they didn’t have to wait in the car.

We had a good meal and great conversation.  When we were done we walked inside to pay our bill and for Devin to age up.

“Seely, before I age up can I do something?”  Devin asked in her sweet voice.

“Sure what?”  I smiled down at her.

She motioned with her finger for me to come closer and I complied.

She surprised me with a gentle kiss on my cheek.  Her lips were soft and it tickled and I couldn’t help but smile widely.  After the kiss she aged up into a stunning teenager and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her.  I wished that she and I could have been the same age, but wishing doesn’t get you anywhere.

“Pull the car over there.”  Devin instructed.

“That spot is so far away.  Are you sure?”  I was confused by her requested.

“I don’t want anyone to see our good-bye.” She looked to the floor of the car.

Pulled into the spot where she told me and pulled the keys out of the ignition.  I turned to face her to ask her about this good-bye when she lunged at me her lips engulfing mine.  Sliding onto my lap she undid my pants and slid her tongue into my mouth.

I was her slave; every touch and ever kiss left me in a state of bliss and as the dogs slept in the back we shared ourselves with one another.  After we were done she leaned her forehead against mine and whispered, “I don’t want you to forget me, Seely.”

“I could never forget you.”  I gently ran my hand over her cheek and our lips came together once again, and it was true.  I could never forget her touch or the taste of her lips of the softness of her skin.

I walked her to the terminal after that and gave her a kiss good-bye.  “Call me when you land?”  I couldn’t look her into her eyes.  If I did I would have broken down and begged her to stay but I knew I couldn’t do that.  She had school and a family waiting for her.

“I will.”  Her voice was as sad as I felt.

After we parted I walked back to the car and as I climbed behind the wheel guilt washed over me.  What we shared had been so special and so pure and the only motivation that was leading it was feelings; pure and true feelings, but now as I sat there alone I knew it had been wrong.  We were in two different stages in our lives and we weren’t meant to share that together.  As I drove to my new apartment I vowed to myself that it was a onetime thing and I would take this to my grave, but things change.

I didn’t hear from Devin the next day or the day after.  On the third day after she left I got a devastating call from Devin’s mother.  She was frantic and crying.  She had gone to pick up Devin at the airport and she never showed up.  She called and texted her cell phone and she was about to call me when she got a call from her ex-husband stating that since she had denied him Devin for a few months after she turned into a teenager he took her.  He told her that she would never see Devin again nor would any of the authorities ever find them.  She apologized for taking so long to call me with this news, but she really hadn’t been able to talk.  She had the police out looking but so far they hadn’t found a trace of where they could be.

I just hope she is somewhere out there reading this blog again.  I just want her to know that even though some would find it wrong, I love her and I intend to find her.

~~~
ASHBY’S POV
It is painful to hear that your child is in pain.  Seely called me after he got the phone call from Devin’s mother and Asher and I offered any resources he needed to help find her, but time has gone by and so far no one has come close to finding the poor girl.  I can only hope that her father is a good man and is treating her kindly.
It was time for some more birthday’s at the Lemi’s. On Friday night we celebrated the youngest triplets birthday.
Mason, Monroe and Marko…let me say how handsome you are my young men.  Mason got my new hair color and my mom’s eyes and his dad’s lighter skin tone.  Monroe got that odd hair color that his brother Quinn and sister Tyme got, my steel grey eyes and more of his father’s skin coloring.  Last but not least Marko got his grandpa Lawrence’s hair,  my eye color and his dad’s skin tone.
These boys were such a joy to have around and I was so looking forward to seeing them grow and become great young men.
The following day we had planned a party for Fern, Tyme and Barklay.
“Fire, I’m going to be a teenager today.”  I heard Fern mutter to fire as she hugged him tightly.  “Can I tell you a secret?  I’m kind of scared.  What if the other kids at my new school don’t like me?”
I walked into the room and pulled my girl into a hug.  “Honey, they are going to love you.  You are smart, funny and people will love you.”  Then we heard some music coming from the performance room.  “Come on let’s go check out what is going on.”  She smiled up at me and took my hand.
I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin’ ’bout my girl (my girl).
We walked into the performance room to find Tyme and Asher singing the Temptations My Girl.  I think we startled Asher a bit when we entered the room, but he soon got back on track.  When they finished the song Fern and I clapped loudly as Tyme bowed up and down.
“Come on papa Asher bow.”  She ordered pulling on his shirt.
He joined in the fun by taking her hand and bowing with her and we clapped louder.
The laugher finally subsided and I draped my arm over Fern’s shoulders.  “Come on girls let’s go find your brother and blow out some candles.”
Look at these stunning children!!  Another child with her grandpa’s hair color and grandma’s blue eyes and resembles me, Fern is breathtaking.  Barklay with his cool hair and confident manner no doubt will be a popular on in school.  Then there’s my shy girl Tyme.  She is so pretty with her simple features and stunning blue eyes.
Weeks after they aged up Barklay approached me with a request.
“Mom.”  His tone was confident.  “Fern, Tyme and I have been doing some research and we have read about this new town in the sims world.  It is called Moonlight Falls and we would like you to send us there for a week before it becomes out time to age up and move out.”
I wasn’t very keen on sending my teenage children to a town that I had never been to nor had I heard much about, but how would I tell them no?  Being a challenge child their baby, toddler, child and teenage years are cut so short compared to other sims.  I told them I would think about it and went to find Asher to talk to him about this.
Since all the children at home were old enough to be home alone we took a rare opportunity to go for a moonlight walk.  With his right arm tightly around my shoulders and his left hand in his pocket we walked and I told him what the teens asked.
“How do I let them down easy?”  I asked finishing my little tale.
He pulled me closer and inhaled loudly.  “I’m not sure you should. I think they should be allowed to go.”
“But….they will be all alone.  I wouldn’t be able to go with them I have the boys to think about as well.”
“Didn’t you tell me last week that Ash just recently moved to Moonlight Falls?”  He lifted his head an looked at the moon.  The serene look on his face showed there was nothing to worry about.
With his words I remembered the postcard I got from my son Ash, baby number 9 and one of my only two vampire babies, the week before letting me know that he had moved to Moonlight Falls to be around more Supernatural beings.  “How could I have forgotten?”  I yelled startling Asher out of his daze.  I whipped my phone out of my pocket and soon I was chatting away with Ash.  He agreed to let Fern, Tyme and Barklay to stay with him for a week.
When I told the triplets this they were over the moon with excitement and the following week they were on a plane headed to Moonlight Falls.
~~~

BARKLAY’S POV

Ash picked us up at the airport and right from the start we all got along great.  It was cool to have a big brother that was a vampire and we wanted to know all about him and his life.  We talked into the wee hours of them morning ending our talk with Ash expressing his regret that he was unable to show us around town.  He hadn’t lived in Moonlight Falls very long so he was unable to get time off work so soon after starting.  We were okay with that eager to explore the town on our own.

We got a couple of hours of sleep and then did some research on Ash’s computer to see what there was to do and see in Moonlight Falls.  Fern and I were intrigued by all the crazy stuff like getting our fortune told and fishing at the mystical falls, but Tyme wanted to do boring stuff like research on why the town came to be and what kind of begins have been introduced into the sims world so we decided to split up.

“I wonder what they will tell me?”  Fern asked me as we approached the fortune-teller’s wagon.

“I don’t know but….Hey Fern look over there.”  I pointed to a girl with blue wings who had sparkles coming out of her fingers.  “What is that?”

Fern nudged me in the side and gave me a disapproving look,  “It’s a girl you dork.”

“I can see that, but she has wings.”  I let out a frustrated sigh and put my hand to my mouth.  “Hello…Hi…you.”  I called trying to get her attention.

She turned to us and with a smile she headed to us and when I saw her face I gasped.  She was beautiful.  She introduced herself to us as Delphinium Vine from the Moonlight Falls fairies.   I couldn’t believe that I was talking to a real fairy.  I always thought they were myths, stories parents told their children at bedtime, but here she was a real living breathing fairy and I couldn’t stop talking to her.

Fern went into the wagon and got her fortune read, but I couldn’t bring myself to tear away from Delphinium and we talked the whole time Fern was spending a lot of money on useless information.  She later told me she kept thinking that if she kept giving out the money they asked for they would finally tell her something helpful, but it never happened.

When Fern was done Delphinium and I had made plans to meet up (Fern and Tyme were invited too) and she would give us a tour of the town.  We exchanged numbers and Fern and I headed back to Ash’s.  We entered the empty house and found a note from Tyme that she had headed to the graveyard to do some exploring.  Fern and I were puzzled as to why she would head to the graveyard at night, but we trusted that she knew what she was doing and would call if she needed help.

TYME’S POV

After doing a lot of research in the library I learned that many supernatural creatures conjugate to the cemetery at night so I had decided that I wanted to witness this phenomenon myself, after all that is why we were there, right?

The cemetery was beautiful and I was enjoying the atmosphere around me, but I had yet to meet a supernatural being.  I decided to wait on one of the benches for a while when a heard a strange noise coming from deeper in the cemetery.

I approached the noise and was startled to see a sim glowing orange and yelling in pain.  I had no idea what was going on and I was frozen in fear.  When the orange glow subsided he lifted his head high in the air and let out the most terrifying howl one could image and I couldn’t help but gasp loudly.

He quickly turned around and was startled by my presence.  He yelled in surprise and pulled his arms tightly around him.  I didn’t know what to do or what to think so I tried to run for it, but he caught up with me and grabbed my arm.

“I…I’m…sorry I scared you.”  He stammered and let go of me.

I was baffled by his behavior and something told me that he wasn’t dangerous.

I gave him a slight smile and reached forward taking his hand.  It was an odd hand.  A hand like a sim, but it was also very hairy.  “It’s okay.  I overreacted.  My name is Tyme Emerald-Lemi.”  I shook his hand like my mother had taught me.

He introduced himself as Weston Hale and explained that he was a werewolf, and despite all the hair, his sharp claws and teeth and glowing yellow eyes; he had a great smile.  It was a smile that made me feel at easy.  We settled into an easy and comfortable conversation and before either of us knew it two hours had passed.

“Hey Tyme.  I know you don’t know me that well, but can I show you my favorite place in Moonlight Falls?”

“You’re not going to eat me for dinner are you?”  I let the joke tumble out of my mouth.

“Ha..ha very funny.”  He beamed back.

“Sure.” I took his hand and he lead the way.

“Weston it is beautiful here.”

“It is my favorite place in Moonlight Falls.”  He reiterated what he told me earlier.

We stood in silence for what seemed like forever and then turned to each other and smiled.

We spent the rest of the time talking, laughing and enjoying each other’s company.  I didn’t want the night to end.

When the sun started to rise Weston mumbled something about changing back into his human form and strayed away from me.  He walked to the edge of the pond and picked a handful of flowers and brother them to me.

“Tyme you are the nicest prettiest girl I have ever met.  I am so glad that fate has brought us together.”  He handed me the flowers with a smile.

“I love them.”  I screeched pulling them up to my nose.  “Thank you.”

Weston pulled me into a tight hug as the sun lightened up the sky.  “Tyme if you let me I want to protect you forever.”  He whispered in my ear.  As he let me go I kissed his furry cheek and tears glistened in my eyes.

Then Weston turned back into a boy.  We exchanged numbers and he promised to call so we could spend more time together after we got a couple of hours of sleep.

~~

BARKLAY’S POV

Over the next week Fern, Delphinium and I had become inseparable.  Everyone moment we were awake we were all together.  Delphinium was such a great gal….such a great fairy and she was super fun to spend time with.

Our last day in Moonlight Falls we decided to spend the day at the falls.

Fern insisted getting out picture taken next to this big rock sculpture.  “Say Cheese.”  Delphinium giggled as she flittered above us.

We spent the day fishing.  Delphinium actually liked to skip rocks or practice her fairy magic more than fish, but it was just great having her with is.  Look at this Fern caught a frog and a quite a big frog it is.

Delphinium decided to have some fun and cast a temporary spell on me.  The spell allowed me to flit like a fairy so I challenged her to a race to the falls.  It was great fun and I never knew how freeing flitting could be.  Of course I won, I think she let me win, and we fell into each other’s arms in laughter.

Then we stood very close to one another and watched the water from the falls tumble over the rocks.

Then without warning Delphinium leaned over and kissed me sweetly on the cheek.

“What was that for?”  I asked rubbing my cheek where her lips had been moments before.

She grinned at me slyly.  “Oh so you don’t forget me Barklay.”  Her voice was playful and coy.  It was like she was playing another one of her fairy tricks on me, but nothing happened.

I gave her a slanted look trying to figure out what her secret was, but I was unable to figure it out.  “I won’t forget you Del.”  Using the nickname I had given her.

“I know you want.  I’ve just ensured that.”  She let out a sing-song laugh and flitted away from me to say her good-byes to Fern.

~~

TYME’S POV

The last night we were in Moonlight Falls Weston called me and told me he had a special night planned for us.

He picked me up from Ash’s house and the first place he took me was the museum where we both and an appreciation for the artists.  Then we went to the public pool where were enjoyed a swim, but while we were there a full moon rose.  Weston changed before my eyes and a creature I have never seen before came around the corner.

Weston told me to change quickly and that we needed to leave immediately and head to someplace safe.  He had forgotten it was a full moon.

We left the pool and Weston rushed me along mumbling about Zombies, and how stupid he felt for forgetting that it was a full moon.  We got on the bus and as it drove off he explained that Zombies loved to eat human flesh and nothing but pea-shooters stop them.  My skin shivered with goose bumps at the thought and he draped his arm around my shoulder.  “You don’t have to worry, Tyme.  I will always keep you safe.”

We pulled up to a place call the Werewolf’s Lair and rushed inside.  There weren’t a lot of people there and Weston explained that this was a place where werewolves and their friends hung out, but most supernatural creatures liked to be out during a full moon.

During our time at the hangout we played foosball, had a great dinner and had the mystical ball tell us a great love is awaiting us.  I couldn’t help to smile at Weston when we were told that.

When it was safe to go back outside we went out to get some air hand in hand.  The full moon gave us both a strong sensation and Weston whirled around and we shared out first kiss.   When we broke our connection Weston puffed up his chest and howled at the moon.  This set me off in a fit of giggles.

However, those giggles soon turned into tears with the realization that this was Weston and I’s last night together.  Weston was sweet wiping my tears away and telling me that things would work out.  The bus ride back to Ash’s house was quite.   We held each other tightly but neither of us spoke.

The next day Weston was allowed to go with us to the airport.  We said a sad good-bye filled with kisses and hugs and promises that thing would work out, but as I sat staring out the window of the airplane I didn’t have much faith that things would work out.  I mean how many teenage long distance love’s last?

~~~
ASHBY’S POV
While the teenagers were gone the boys were adjusting just fine as children.   Mason fancied the new rocking horses I bought Monroe loved the cats and Marko, my little loner, loved the rocking chair up in the toy room.
Asher thought it would be great to have fresh honey at his restaurant so he bought some bees.  I know what was he thinking?  However, I want to make my husband as happy as he makes me so I didn’t say anything and I tended to those pesky things everyday and soon I became quite good at gathering the honey.
I was so happy when my children returned from their trip, but it didn’t take me long to realize that they had changed.  Well two of the three of them had changed a lot, but Fern was pretty much the same.  Barklay walked around in a daze all the time texting and calling his friend Delphinium.  When asked if they were more than friends he would sigh deeply, smile and say, “Nope we are just friends.”  His behavior was quite odd.
Then there was Tyme.  Another one of my beautiful girls who was going through a heartache.  She and Weston talked and text all the time but she couldn’t contain how unhappy she was to be apart from him.  I wanted to make it better, but what could I do?
Time went along like this and soon it was time for the Teenagers to age up so that I could move forward with my challenge.
~~~

TYME’S POV

It was the night before Fern, Barklay and I were to age up when we heard a knock on the door.  Mom wasn’t expecting anyone and we really did live so far away from town that it was unusual for anyone to just show up without warning so we were all baffled by the knock.

I was in the reading room and heard mom head to answer it.  When I heard mom yell, “Tyme, the door is for you.” I was even more puzzled.

I put my book back on the shelf where I had pulled it from, smoothed out my dress, and headed to the door and I was stopped in my tracks by the sight of who was waiting for me.

I ran the rest of the way across the room and flung myself into his arms.  It was Weston.  he was here and he was already a young adult.  We held each other for the longest time neither one of us wanting to let go.

“What are you doing here?”  I couldn’t help by admire his handsome face.

“Um….your mom sent me a ticket telling me you were ageing up and that I should be here.”  He scratched his head hoping I liked the surprise.

“Oh mom.”  I pitched myself at her hugging her tight.  “This is the best present you could have given me.”

She kissed my forehead.  “Why don’t you and Weston head outback for some privacy.  I will make up the guest room.”

It was another sleepless night and I didn’t care.  Weston and I spent most of it just sitting together staring at the moonlight, drinking in the fact that we were together again and in just a few hours we would both be young adults ready to face the world.

~~~
ASHBY’S POV
The next day the house was bustling with the activities of getting a party ready for the triplets to age up.  The party was as success and soon another set of my “babies” were young adults ready to take on life.
Look at them!  Fern so stunning with her red/white Starr hair and deep blue eyes.  Tyme with her cute button nose and stylish style and Barklay the baby with his cool hair and manly features.  These three are going to accomplish anything they set their minds to.  I am sad to let them go, but super eager to see what they do in life.
~~~

TYME’S POV

The plan was for us to move out of mom’s house the day after we aged up, but unbeknownst to me plans had been changed.

The morning of “move” day Weston asked if we could go for a walk and check out the beautiful view of the ocean before we left.  I agreed and we walked along the beach, near my parent’s house, arm in arm.  The walk was cut short when Weston turned to me and grabbed my shoulders.

“Tyme Emerald Lemi do you love me?”  He asked me out of the blue.

“Yes.”  I picked off a piece of lint from the shoulder of his shirt and gave him a puzzled look.  “What’s this about?”

With a quick motion Weston pulled out a box from his pocket and dropped to one knee.  He wasn’t fancy and he didn’t give a speech.  “Marry me.”  And that was all I needed.

I allowed him to slid the ring on my finger and pull me into a hug.  “Yes…Yes… A million times yes.”  Tears were streaming down my face and I couldn’t imagine that I could be any happier then I was right then.

~~~
ASHBY’S POV
The kids decided they wanted to get married in a week.  In a week!!  That doesn’t give me much time, but luckily being a challenge mom prepares you for things like this and I was skilled party planner.  I got on the phone and started to make deals and arrangements and within a couple of days I had everything lined up to throw them a small, but beautiful wedding. The only thing Tyme had to do was find her dress.
Two days before the big day Tyme came crying to me.  “Mom I can’t find anything that is right.  What am I going to do?”
I began listing off places where she could look and she continued to sob telling me she had already looked there.  I couldn’t bear to see my child so upset when it should be the happiest time of her life so I took her hand and stood her up.  I wiped the tears from her pretty eyes.  “Come with me.  I may have an idea.”
I led her up to the attic and moved stuff around until I found what I was looking for.  The big cedar chest had a layer of dust on it, but I knew what was inside had been preserved and protected.  I knelt before it and released the latch.  The lid opened with a creak and the glorious smell of cedar filled the room.  Standing up I pulled out a plastic covered dress.  Sliding the plastic off of it I handed it to Tyme.
She took in a deep breath.  “Mom this is beautiful.  Is this what you wore when you marred Papa Asher?”  She ran her hand over the lace on the sleeves.
“No honey.  Asher and I eloped.  This is the dress I wore when I married Connery Bright.”  Tears stung my eyes and threatened to fall.  My kids knew about Connery, but none of them really knew the love the two of us shared.
She saw the look on my face and her face fell.  “Are you sure you want me to wear this?”
“Honey, do you want to wear the dress?”  I asked back.
She shook her head slowly as if she was ashamed to admit that she wanted to wear the dress.  I lifted her chin up for her to look me in the eyes.  “Then you wear it.  You will look stunning in it.”
Two days later my little girl was Mrs. Weston Hale.  The wedding was beautiful and even Ao was there to celebrate the marriage of one of is his daughters.
That was the last day my Emerald triplets lived under my roof.  When the celebrations were over Fern and Barklay climbed into their loaded car and headed off for their new places of resident and Tyme and Weston were off on the honeymoon Asher, Ao and I all chipped in to send them on.
It was time to move on with my challenge.
~~
This pregnancy was fun because I shared the time with a pregnant Hazel.   Yep Fire and Hazel were expecting kittens.  How fun is that?
Let’s Smutzle.  I did a lot of working out and dancing during this pregnancy.  The boys were busy with school.  Something big was happening at Asher’s restaurant and I had no little ones to take care of.  So it was something to pass the time.
Yeah Hazel had her kittens.  A little girl Tigeress and a little boy Sneaky.
I should let you know who the next day was.  It was Birthstone dad Auburn Ruby.
Everyone meet triplets Lavinnia, Luna and Weaver Ruby-Lemi.
I am so glad that both Lavinnia and Luna got their father’s skin tone.  The last Red child I had was Greyson, baby # 3.  It also makes me so very happy that Mason got my mom’s skin tone.  He looks so much like her in the face, but got my new hair color and his dad’s red eyes.
I’m going to leave you with this.  This is the current Lemi house-hold.
The hugging siblings are Mason (Child) and Weaver (Toddler). The piggyback pair is Marko (Child) and Lavinnia (Toddler) ~ Of course you know Ashby and Asher ~ The pony ride pair or Monroe (child) and Luna (Toddler). The cat on the rocking chair is Hazel, the black cat is Fire and the kittens (left to right) is Tigeress and Sneaky.
Thank you all for reading. It means a lot that you all keep coming back and the encouragement you provide.
I would love to hear you what think…how you like the new writing style….perhaps what you want to see in the Lemi challenge. You can leave me a comment here or find me on Facebook under Ashby Lemi.
Don’t forget that if you want any of the Lemi children they are available for download as young adults and you can find their links on the table of content page. If you want to find me on the sims3 website you can find me under Xur28.
Ashby Lemi’s – Babies 49, 50 and 51
Hi everyone..yep it is me again Ashby. I am sure you are getting tired of my blog going from first person to third, but Nina; my good friend and the person who has been writing my blog for some time now, had to go back to her country. She had some family issues she has to take care of. Victor offered to get me another author, but I decided that the rest of the challenge will be written by a Lemi. That being said you will see things written by me and I have given access to all of my kids and they have promised that if there is something to report about them they will log in post it.
So last time the blog left you with news that Orchid and Dutton moving out, Leven and Hooper becoming Teens and Fern, Tyme and Barklay were born, and since then a lot has happened and Leven is going to start off this post.
~~~~
LEVEN’S POV

Hi everyone, it’s me Leven. I’m not a great writer, but I am going to give it a whirl.

Not long after Hooper and I started high school I began to have a shadow. A new family, The Falk’s, had moved into town and their boy, Brighton, began following me around. At first I found it kind of creepy to see him outside of my classes and at my locker at any given time during the day, but then he started to become sort of sweet when he would offer to carry my books and open doors for me. I never let him carry my books but it was sweet.

About three weeks after school started he and his sister, Yusun, announced they were having a party. They randomly handed out invites, but he asked me personally. He told me that he wanted to get to know me better and that is why they were having this party. I told him I would think about going and it seemed to make him happy.

I found myself intrigued because I heard that the Falk’s lived on a house boat. It was rumored that Mr. Falk traveled around the world for his job and living on a boat allowed them to be mobile. I wasn’t prepared to go on my own so I con’d Hooper into going with me.

We showed up at 2 and we were taken back.  Brighton was standing on the deck waiting for us.  I couldn’t believe that they really lived on a houseboat.

He quickly ran down to great us. He shook Hooper’s hand and threw his arm around my shoulders. I was surprised with myself when I didn’t push it away. It felt kind of nice. He slowly guided me to the boat as he talked about the fun day we were going to have. I found myself smiling up at this handsome face. It was a very strange sensation.

He gave Hooper and I a tour of the boathouse as some of our classmates began to show up. Yusun was a gracious host and greeted them. After everyone arrived we had lunch, and what a spread they had. It was buffet style and we had so much to choose from.

After lunch some jumped into the ocean to cool off while other of us lay out on the deck of the boat and took in the sun.

We had a great time dancing.

Then without warning Brighton swept me into his arms and held me close.  He didn’t care who was watching or what people thought.  He held me tightly in his arms for two songs, and when the second song was over he asked me to go on a walk with him and I agreed.

We found a beautiful spot with grass, not sand, and we both sat down. He pulled me against him and I found myself quite comfortable listening to his heart beat against his chest. He rubbed my back and I smiled widely.

“Leven, I really like you. Will you be my girlfriend?” Brighton sprung the question on me and I sat up and looked at him with a puzzled expression. I didn’t know what to say and I just stared at him.

He chuckled lifting his hand to my check. He rubbed his thumb over my cheek and I shivered with excitement. I couldn’t deny that Brighton made me blush. “I…I…can I let you know at school on Monday?” I stammered like a true awkward teenager.

Another laugh escaped his lips. “Sure.” was his sweet reply as he pulled me back down to him.

That evening as the sun sank into the ground Brighton walked me out and I received my very first kiss. The butterflies consumed me as his lips brushed up against mine and cold when his hands ran up my arms. My knees were weak as he pulled me closer to him and then it was over. It was over way to soon. I found myself wanting to answer his earlier question right then and there, but I felt I had to live up to my promise of Monday.

As I walked toward that car that would take Hooper and I hope I heard my brother snicker in his seat. “Shut up.” I hissed but I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

I didn’t hear from Brighton on Sunday, but I didn’t mind. I wasn’t the typical high school girl who got upset over things like that, but I was eager for Monday to come so that I could find him, throw myself into his arms and tell him I would be his girl. However, my Monday plans were ruin when I got to school and neither Brighton or Yusun could be found. I was told that their father lifted anchor and took his family to the next business destination.

I didn’t quite believe this horrid rumor I heard and after school I dragged Hooper to the location of the boat house. As we looked at the empty water where the boat was just two days before Hooper pulled me into a protective hug as I sobbed onto his shoulder.

ASHBY’S POV

It hurt my heart to watch my daughter mope around the house. I told her that things would be better and that everyone goes through a broken heart at some point in their life, but all I got was a blank stare as I talked. I knew that going though heart-break while being young it feels like the end of the world and I knew she would eventual get over it, but that didn’t stop me from trying to make my baby-girl feel better.

Then I got heartbreaking news myself. News that almost made me give up my challenge for the second time during the time I have been doing this challenge.

My son Jones had been in and out of the hospital since he was born. The doctors never really knew what kept him sick, but every few months he was either home sick or sick enough to be in the hospital.

When he and his twin Seely aged into children I offered, as I do to all my children, to send them to a specialty boarding school if they would like. Seely, as all my other children had before him, opted to stay home and be with me and our family, but Jones, to my surprise, took me up on my offer. He told me he had already done some research and wanted to be sent to a specialty school in Hidden Springs. I was shocked and my first instinct was to tell him he couldn’t go; that he couldn’t leave me, but Asher saved me, as he always does, from that embarrassment.

A few days later I made the arrangements.

The night before he left I stood at the bottom of the stairs and watched some of my children bond over one of their favorite movies, but I could see the sadness in the room.  Seely was distracted as he looked down to the carpet and Leven had been just as worried and upset as I had been all week-long.

I was like a visible shadow in the house that night. I followed Jones everywhere. After the movie was over Hooper, who had been working out during the movie, read Jones their favorite story and with a tear in his eye kissed him on his head before leaving the room. As Hooper moved passed me I put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. He smiled up at me and left the room.

I took his place next to Jones and pulled the blanket up to his chin.

“Mom I will be okay.” He whispered in a tired voice.

“I know you will.” I flicked the tears away from my eyes.

I knew he wanted to say more, but he was just too tired and his eyes drooped heavily. I stroked his hair as he drifted off to sleep for the last time in his childhood home.

Jones flight wasn’t until the next evening so we all had some more quality time with him. We played games and watched old home movies and ate all of Jones’ favorite junk foods and as afternoon faded to evening we heard the cab horn honk in our driveway and the whole family froze in terror. All but Jones that was. He ran to the door and grabbed his suitcase. “Come on guys..I have to go.” He called.

We all said our good-byes before he headed out the door.

Then just he and I walked out onto the porch.

I scooped him into my arms.

He grabbed my face and said, “Mom I am too big to be picked up.” His voice was hallow and somber just like I felt.

“I know. It’s just that I’m going to miss you my beloved boy. We all are.”

“I’m going to miss you too.” He wiped the tear that slipped down my face. “But there is email, Skype and the phone. I will only be gone in distance.”

“When did you get so smart?” I asked.

“I am what I am because of you mom.” He snaked his arms around my neck and squeezed tightly. “I Love you mom.”

“I love you to Jones. Call me when you get there.”

I set him down and watched him run to the taxi.

You can read more about Jones here

~~

I missed my child but he lived up to his word. As soon as he got to school I got a phone call from him and then every day after I either got a call, email or we arranged to skype so I could see how well he was doing, and doing well he was. After two weeks went by we all started to get back to normal and it was time for another Lemi birthday.

Fern, Tyme and Barklay were now children and oh my Barklay got the evil trait.  This should be interesting.

But wait it looks like the girls may be able to hold their own. Don’t they look like they are plotting against Barklay?

~~

The kids, especially Barklay, hated school and when summer rolled around they we so very excited to have three months off and to meet their big brother and his fiancée Newbie and Dawn. Since she could read Tyme had been reading Dawn’s blog and she thought it was so cool that her brother was in it. I asked her once if she thought it was cool that she was talked about in my blog and this is what she said. “Mom,” In a very sarcastic child like tone I should add, “Your blog doesn’t get as much traffic or has as many fans as Ms. Dawn’s does.” She rolled her eyes at me and sauntered off. Gosh I love my kids.

Then the big day arrived and when I heard the cab pull up into the driveway I ran to the door and was greeted by my angel baby and one of my best friends in the world.

“Newbie, my boy!” I flung myself into his arms and he squeezed me tightly.

“Hi mom.” He couldn’t hide his laugh as we released each other. I know we just skyped the night before to make sure everything was in order, but it isn’t the same as seeing your loved one in person and holding them and hugging them.

Next I grabbed Dawn and pulled her into a giant hug as well. “I have missed you both”

“We have missed you too.” Dawn answered for the both of them and my smile grew wider as I realized how much in love these two were.

Just then cab driver came up behind Newbie and Dawn and handed Newbie a cat carrier. “What is that?” I asked puzzled.

“Mom, Dawn and I have a gift for you.” Newbie grinned at me and handed me the cat carrier.

“Oh?” I put it down and opened the door and two beautiful cats cautiously made their way out.

“We know how much you admire the rainbow cats and there are none here on the island so we brought you a breeding pair.” Dawn was so proud of herself. “So meet Hazel and Fire.”

Hazel

Fire

I loved them instantly and I scooped Fire into my arms and Dawn picked up Hazel.

“Come in, come in.” I ushered them inside and gave them the grand tour of the house.

“Wow mom, this house is beautiful.” Newbie, who had his arm draped over Dawn’s shoulders, said as we ended the tour.

“And this island, well what we saw of it on the drive up here, is beautiful as well.” Dawn added.

“Well I can’t wait to show you around, but first let’s get you settled into your room.”

Their visit was such a wonderful one. Newbie and his new siblings got a long famously, but Leven and Dawn really hit things off.

“Leven, my dear why are you so sad?” I watched Dawn and Leven from the top of the stairs. Gosh you must all think I’m a creeper, but you know what? My house my rules 😉

“Ms. Dawn, have you ever had a broken heart?” I guess my telling her everyone goes through it didn’t really sink in, but I was glad she felt comfortable talking to Dawn.

“Of course Leven, before I fell for your brother I was in love with a man named Lerk. I thought he was the one for me and when we parted it was devastating. Why do you ask?”

Leven let it all out then. She told Dawn all about Brighton and how his family just left and she hasn’t even gotten a call, text, letter or email from him letting her know he was okay or that he was sorry they had to leave so suddenly.

Dawn had all the right words for the young Leven and by the end of the conversation they were both laughing. Sometimes a mother’s word is not taken, but the same words from a friend go a long way. I am not sure that Leven is completely over her loss, but talking to Dawn sure did help.

Many mornings Dawn and I would go out in the back, by the little pond we have, and do some yoga.  The children were sleeping late and the men were watching some brainless man show and we just enjoyed the quite.  The chipping of the birds, the crock of the frogs and the splashing of the fish, it was quite relaxing.

“So are you nervous about the wedding?” I asked Dawn causally as we sat in the cool waters of the pond one morning after yoga.

Dawn giggled nervously. “Should I be talking to you about this? You are my finances’ mother.”

“Dawn, I’m your friend too, but if you would rather….”

“Yes!” She blurted out. “I have no idea why either. I love Newbie and we already live together why would the marriage make me nervous?”

I took her hand. “Because things will change. They may be small subtle things, but things are going to change.”

“I’m not sure I want things to change, but I want to marry Newbie with all my heart and soul.”

“Honey, it will be fine. You two are perfect together.”

“Babe!” I heard Asher call from the house. “When are you going to make breakfast? The kids will be up soon.”

I looked at Dawn and we both laughed. “I don’t get him. He is the one who owns his own restaurant and teaches cooking and I am the one who has to make breakfast.” I rolled my eyes and we got out of the pond and headed toward the house.

AHSER’S POV

Hi folks…I guess it is my turn to write in Ashby’s blog. I hope I don’t bore you all too much.

So two days before Dawn and Newbie were to leave I decided to take Newbie out for a day. Just the two of us doing guy stuff.

We spent the morning working on out golfing skills.  I’m still not that great but we had a good time.

Then I took him to the local bar and grill for some lunch.  Our conversations were filled with guy stuff like sports, our women and food.  It was a great bonding moment for us.  Newbie may not be my child, but I love all Ashby’s children as if they were my own.

After we ate we headed upstairs to play a little shuffle board. I decided that this was the time to bring up his impending marriage. I cleared my throat and began. “So Newbie, are you nervous about the wedding night.” I knew he caught my drift by the look on his face.

Newbie let out a deep laugh and looked at me. “Asher, Dawn and I have two kids together, remember?”

“I know, but your children are grown. It has been a while.”

“Also it wasn’t that long ago I was dating Breeze. I am an adult you know?”

I gulped loudly. This was not going as planned not at all.

“No offence Asher, but you’re not my dad.”

I knew he meant it in the most respectful way and he was right I’m not his dad, but the words still hurt. Ashby has 48 (49 counting Derrick) children and only five of them were mine. It is hard to in a relationship like that. I just wanted all her kids to be mine and to love me as if I were their father, but it just isn’t possible. “I’m sorry if I over stepped. I just thought since your father is an angel and he wasn’t around when you were growing up I could try to help in some way.” I was trying to hide the hurt expression on my face, but I think I failed at it.

Newbie’s face sank and he moved toward placing his hand on my shoulder. “Asher, you are a great man. You take care of my mom, love her and understand her challenge when most men wouldn’t. You love all of us as if we were yours and we love and respect you back. I would be proud to be your son, but we all have fathers.”

His words were precious to me. His mother really did raise him right. I wipe a single tear from my eye and smile at the lad before me.

“Come on Asher. Let’s head back to the house.”

~~~
ASHBY’S POV
It was our last night with our house guests and Dawn and I decided to head out to the local casino for a night of fun and gambling (smart gambling though).
We sat down at a table, both of us not really knowing what we were doing, and we handed the dealer our money and he gave us some red chips in return.
The first couple of rounds both Dawn and I seemed to have good hands. Hands that warranted one of us to get some money for it.
Then our luck began to change.  After we began to start losing our money the game wasn’t much fun anymore and we soon quit.
We had a great time at the casino and I was going to be sad when my friend and son left, but I also knew that I would be seeing them again soon to watch them down the aisle.
It seems like most flights off the island leave at night and Dawn and Newbie’s flight was no exception and since they had most of the day left we decided to go to the boardwalk for the day.
The kids were especially excited for this. We all watched as the younger ones played some skeet ball. Seely was the winner of this game. As I watched my kids I couldn’t help but worry about Seely and Jones being separated, but was glad that Fern, Tyme and Barklay included him in almost everything they did.
I stood next to my husband and couldn’t help but whisper in his ear how handsome he looked and how good he smelled.
These two are just the cutest ever.  I couldn’t wait for them to walk down the aisle and become man and wife.
Asher and I waited in line for the Ferris Wheel.  I just can’t stop myself from admiring his handsome face.
Newbie handed his camera to Asher. “Mom, come take a picture with Dawn and I.”
I walked over to the loving couple and Newbie threw his arm around me. “1…2…3…”Asher called and snapped this picture. FYI Dawn is not preggo….it is just the material on her shirt and the angle of the camera.
Then Newbie looked at his watch. “Mom we need to get our luggage out of your car. Our cab will be here in ten minutes.”
I sighed and looked into his face. I never had enough time with my kids ever. Not growing up and not when they visit. “Okay but first can we get a family picture?”
“Sure.”
I gave my camera to the skeet ball vender and this is the picture he got of us:
Nice looking family if I do say so myself.
After the picture was taken we headed down to the car and got Newbie and Dawn’s luggage and soon their cab pulled up. We said our good-byes and as the sun began to sink they drove away and we got in to the car and headed home.
~~
About a week after Newbie and Dawn left I decided to get moving with my challenge so I called up the next birthday stone guy.
Remember this guy?  This is Linen Pearl.  He was the next guy in line for my challenge and he ran right over when I called him.  We headed to the hospital and soon I was pregnant with baby 49.
During my pregnancy Leven and Hooper aged up and moved out of the house. What lovely young adults they were. Leven with her grandma’s hair coloring and my skin tone and eye coloring and Hopper with his dads hair and skin coloring and my eye coloring, gosh they are going to do well in whatever they do.
~~
When the kids went back to school I decided to do some “spring” cleaning if you will. I had boxes that I inherited after my parents died that I had never sorted through and though this pregnancy would be a good time do this. What I found was priceless and brought tears to my eyes.
It was old pictures of my parents when my mom was pregnant with me.  I missed my parents so very much but finding these was more valuable than gold to me.
hahaha Mom you are too cute. What are you trying to seduce dad when you are about ready to give birth? I’m not sure I would appreciate that. HAHAHHA
Needless to say I got them framed and these pictures now hang up in my home.
I also got a package from my son Jones.
He had gone through the family albums and found a painter to paint this for me. It is a picture of me, my dad (if he were still living) and my boys that inherited my father’s genes.
From right to left (I know we usually say left to right, but it will make more sense doing it this way): Jones, Lawrence (my dad), Me (with my original hair color), Newbie, Dallas (Newbie’s son with Dawn) and Dallas’ son Ash (with Carlie Fey, Logan Fey’s daughter).
~~
The children were settled back in school when the new baby, or should I say babies arrived.
Everyone meet Mason (baby 49), Monroe (baby 50) and Marko (baby 51).
~~
Can you all believe it? I am now at the halfway mark. I am so excited. This is amazing. Thank you all for being a long on this ride. I love you all.
Again as always thank you all for reading and I would love to hear what you have to say about the challenge. Feedback, even bad (but not Hateful), is welcome. You can leave me a message here or on my Facebook page at Ashby Lemi.
Remember if you want any of my children I upload them as Young Adults and you can find their links on the table of content page.
Ashby Lemi – babies 46, 47 and 48
ASHBY LEMI’S 100 BABY CHALLENGE
BABY 46, 47 and 48
After Jones and Seely were born Ashby found herself in another lull in her challenge. She was in no hurry to contact Ao Emerald, the next father in the challenge, and get on with it. She wanted to enjoy her boys and her family, but she find it difficult to do when Asher seemed to be M.I.A. all of a sudden.
Right before the birth of the latest twins he had started to go out of town for work. First it was a day or two and then right after the birth it became weeks. Then one day he came home from one of his trips with a surprise.
“Asher, I’m so glad you are home.” Ashby snaked her arms around her husband’s neck. The day had been long and rough. The boys had been fussy all day, Leven and Hooper had gotten in a scuffle with some kids from school and Orchid and Dutton were being typical teenagers and refused to help out around the house.
“I’m glad to be home. Babe, have you contacted the next father?” Asher asked excitedly.
“No. Why?” She gave him a puzzled look.
“I want to take you and the kids on vacation.”
“Vacation?”
“Ashby, we never got to go on a real honeymoon and I want to enjoy some time as a family away from our everyday life.”
Ashby wasn’t sure at first but after several discussions and convincing by her family she finally agreed to taking a vacation and putting her challenge off for a little while.
~~
The Lemi’s enjoyed their vacation immensely, it was filled with extremely fun activities.
A lot of time was spent at the beach were the kids, and even Ms. Sassy, enjoyed time in the water. They would play for hours and then eat a wonderful picnic lunch Ashby would prepare.
 Then as the sun would set Ashby and Orchid would get Seely and Jones into the water. Jones seemed to enjoy the seawater in his face and often made Orchid sit with him so he could get as wet as he could, while his twin, Seely, seemed a little less sure about it.
HERE ARE JUST A COUPLE MORE VACATION PICTURES:
~~
It was the day before they were to fly back to Sunset Valley when Asher dropped some heavy news onto Ashby.
He took her out to eat at a fancy tourist spot and as they waited for their desert he sprang the news. “Ashby, I have been coming here for business for some time now and I have been given an opportunity to invest in the new casino they are building and to become the new head chef.”
Ashby’s hands went to her mouth and awe. “That is wonderful darling. I’m so proud of you.” As the waiter placed their treats in front of them realization washed over her. “But won’t that mean…..”
“Yes babe, I want you and the kids to relocate to Areca Island’s with me.” Asher took a bite of his apple pie.
“Asher that is a lot to ask. It doesn’t just affect me, but the kids and the future of my 100 baby challenge.” Ashby pushed her chocolate cake away from her. She had lost her appetite for something sweet.
“I know it is, but I really want this. It is a great opportunity and this place has a lot of tourists that come through here that will give you more options for your challenge. I’ve given a lot up to support you with your challenge. Please just think about doing this for me.”
The two of them didn’t at all on the way back to their hotel and when they got there the kids were fast asleep with all the suit cases packed. The next morning Asher and Ashby sat the kids down and asked them what they thought of moving. Orchid, who had fallen in love with Areca Islands, voted to stay along with Hooper. Dutton was unsure and Leven, who had a best friend back home wanted to go back to Sunset Valley. The family flew back to Sunset Valley, after many days of fighting and discussing it was decided that the Lemi family would relocated to Areca Islands and Asher would take on the new job opportunity.
Asher had flown out a week before the rest and arranged the purchase of the Lemi’s new home. Here are just a couple of the rooms:
Asher just knew the kids, and Ashby would be happy on the Island.
~~
The family had been on the Island for a week before Ashby sent the kids off to school. The day before Dutton sat in the backyard worrying if he would make friends and if people here would accept him and his differences.
What do you think? Do you think the kids of Areca Island will accept Dutton?
~~
Hello World who are these boys? Yep that is right it is Seely and Jones right after they aged into Children.
While the other kids were at their first day of school Ashby witnessed her babies age up into fine children. These two boys turned out cute as a button with Seely getting his dad’s hair coloring and Jones with his Grandpa Lawrence’s. It seems to me that another one of Ashby’s boys had the same color and look to his hair as Jones. Newbie Starr-Bright to mention a name.
Do you think Jones and Newbie look alike?
Ashby had aged them up in the morning so that she could spend the day with them before they too went off to school and she would be alone. She took them to the grand park and the boys had an awesome time. Ashby had brought her camera and made sure to capture their time together.
These two boys had a great day with their mom, but they were looking forward to starting school and meeting kids their own age.
This park is awesome if you like it you can download it here
~~
Three weeks past and the kids were doing well in school. Orchid and Dutton seemed to be getting along well with a group of kids, who were all fostered by the same couple, in their class. Hooper and Leven were pulling great grade and Jones and Seely were popular amongst the Island’s children.
Ashby had taken up photography and with all her kids in school, her friends so far away and no idea about the fate of her challenge she wandered about the Island taking pictures of all the fantastic places and things the Island had to offer.
One day as she was exploring and taking pictures of one of the parks she heard giggling from a nearby park bench. She whirled around to see a couple, who look so much in love, sitting on the bench. She tried to excuse herself but the woman yelled out to her.
“Hey there are you Ashby Lemi?”
Ashby was surprised that the woman knew who she was. “Yes how did you know?”
“I’m a big fan of your blog. I run the local foster home here on the Island and your blog has helped me in accepting each child into my home.” She stood from the bench and forced herself into Ashby’s arms for a big hug.
“Well aren’t you friendly.” Ashby laughed into the woman’s hair. “And who do I have the honor of hugging?”
“Oh I am so sorry. My name is Summer Eason and this my boyfriend Franklin Velasco.” You must think I am crazy lunging at you like that.
“No it is okay, really. I am glad to meet you both.” Ashby shook Franklin’s hand.
The two women started talking and soon they were fast friends and before Ashby left the park that day she had plans to meet up with Summer the next day.
They spent the day at the beach and soon they were great friends. For the first time in a long time Ashby finally felt connected. She finally felt that she could survive in Areca Islands. She still missed her friends terribly, but spending time with Summer helped that void.
It felt good for her to have a friend again, someone to have coffee with and someone to go shopping with. Friends are important and they are very much needed. You don’t always have to have a brood of them, but one goes a long way.
~~
The foster home kids throw a party on the beach just about every weekend and once Dutton and Orchid were invited they felt they were finally part of the group.
One of the favorite past times of the boys (from left to right: Rod McGrath, Ahmad Call and JohnPaul Madden) is soccer. They enjoyed playing on the beach and during the party.
While the boys were wrapped up into the soccer game and the girls were cheering them on Dutton took the opportunity to talk to Daisy Connor. He had a terrible crush on her and even though he spent a lot of time with her “group” he could never muster up the courage to talk to her, but today he made a promise to himself, and he was pleasantly surprised that she acted interested in him and the more they talked the closer they grew.
“I got it I got it.” Orchid cried as Rod jumped up and slammed the ball over her head and to the other side of the net.
The kids were really enjoying the party and their new friends.
While the Volley Ball game was going on Dutton took the opportunity to stand on the side lines with Daisy. He was a little confused and excited when she leaded up against him and allowed him to kiss her bare shoulder. He was falling hard for this girl and she was making it very easy for him. JohnPaul felt a little uncomfortable, but just tired to focus on cheering about the game.
After the game the kids sat down and enjoyed a nice hearty picnic and some rest before continuing the day’s activities.
“Do they have no shame?” The purple clad Leilani Baron crinkled her nose up at the sight before them.
Daisy and Dutton were relaxing on a blanket deep in a conversation. They both enjoyed being close to each other.
“My brother isn’t normally like this.” Orchid tried to defend Dutton, but she so desperately wanted to be part of this group so she didn’t say much more.
“Well I think it is distasteful and I wouldn’t be caught dead rubbing up against a boy like that.” Leilani let the venom ooze from her voice.
“I think they are cute.” Kia Lyons, who was not part of the group home, but a local girl that hung out with them, said. She smiled at Orchid and stood up. Come on Rod and JohnPaul are getting ready to have a climbing race. I want to go watch.” She grabbed Orchid’s hand and pulled her from the blanket.
“Go JohnPaul Go!” Orchid yelled with force.
Kia laughed and went back and forth cheering for JohnPaul and Rod.
“Come on Rod.” Leilani’s was upset that he was losing. She had, had a crush on him since she moved to the group home but he never paid her any attention. She thought that if she showed interest that someday he would take notice.
In the end JohnPaul won two out of three races.
No beach party is complete without some beach dancing. As the sun on the Island the kids grooved to some fun music.
“Dutton, do you know what would be fun?” Leilani asked with a grin.
Dutton didn’t like the look on her face, but he asked what anyway.
“Some fireworks would be lovely. I brought some if you would light them for me.” She pulled the fireworks out of her bag.
“Leilani, I don’t think we need fireworks tonight.” Daisy looked at Dutton and tried to give him a look warning him it was a bad idea.
Leilani shoved the fireworks into Dutton’s hands. “Come on Daisy they will be so pretty in tonights clear sky.”
Dutton took them and went to the edge of the water. Leaning down he lit them and backed up quickly. The fireworks were beautiful, but what Dutton didn’t know is that they were illegal on the beach and Officer Peralta rounded the beach every weekend at that time.
Dutton was handcuffed and Orchid begged the officer not to take him. She tried to tell him that they didn’t know it was illegal, but the officer wouldn’t listen. When Orchid heard Leilani laughing behind them she knew that she had set up her brother, and she was angry.
“Don’t worry D I will call mom.” Orchid yelled after Dutton and Office Peralta.
Orchid flew at Leilani with extreme anger. “You knew they were illegal. You set my brother up.”
“Your brother is a bozo.” Leilani crossed her arms over her chest.
“I will show you looser.” Orchid balled up her right fist and pulled back to throw a punch, but Ahmad grabbed her arm.
“Come on Orchid she isn’t worth it. I will take you home.” He drug her away from the group and they walked to his car.
In the patrol car Officer Peralta finally heard Dutton out and decided to let him off with a warning and drove him home.
“Dutton, what happened?” Ashby sat Dutton down for a serious talk after Officer Peralta left.
He explained everything to her. From the day he had with Daisy to what Leilani did to him.
Sighing Ashby took his face in her hands and kissed his forehead. “Honey, there will always be people that have to put others down to make them feel good. You just need to stay a good person and not associate yourself with those kinds of people.”
“Okay mom.”
“And I wouldn’t jump to conclusions about that other girl.” Ashby called behind her as she headed to answer the front door. “Dutton it is for you.”
“Dutton, before you say anything please hear me out.” Daisy begged as Dutton stepped out onto the porch.
He crossed his arms in front of his chest, but didn’t say a word.
“First of all I want you to know that I really do like you. I want to get to know you better and I want us to be more then friends. Leilani is a bully and she makes my life hell if I don’t go along with her. I hate it, but it is better to do what she says then take what she dishes out. I really hope you can forgive me.”
For several minutes Dutton just stood there looking at her and finally he said, “I don’t know Daisy. I guess I just need time.” He turned and went back into the house leaving a heartbroken Daisy on the porch.
~~
It’s time for a change. Ashby went to the local salon and had her hair colored drastically. She really liked it. How about you? What do you think?
“Ao. Ao Emerald? What on earth are you doing here?” Ashby was surprised to see the next scheduled father in her challenge here on Areca Island.
Ao stuffed the last piece of his lunch into his mouth, wiped his lips and stood up.
“Ashby, I’m so glad to see you. I flew down here to surprise you and let you know I am still interested in being the next father is you are still doing your challenge.”
Ashby threw herself into the man’s arms. “Oh Ao thank you so much.” She was so excited at the prospect of continuing her challenge that she dragged him to the hospital right then and there. They were told that they could get an appointment in a week’s time. Ao was okay with staying that long and Ashby was over the moon.
~~
Before Ashby knew it, it was time for another Lemi birthday. The four eldest in the household were about to embark on their new stages of life.
Look out world Orchid and Dutton are on the loose now. Look at these two…Wow. I think these two will go far.
Thick as thieves Hooper and Leven aged up so well. These two are going to be interesting to follow for one cannot do without the other. Leven is smart and outspoken but she could not be as brave as she is without Hooper’s encouragement and quite soft spoken could not be as into his music without Leven telling him it was okay to be a little withdrawn for the sake of his music. I for one can’t wait to see what these two have in store for us.
Orchid and Dutton said their good-byes and headed off for their new lives. Before she left Orchid told her mother that she had sent in an application to be on a T.V. series and she was accepted to be in We All Love Luke. Ashby new her little girl would be incredible and promised that she and the family would tune in every week once it started. Dutton did forgive Daisy and he went straight to her house and swept her off her feet. They eloped several days later when she aged up into a Y.A.
As mentioned before Hooper loved music and he took every lesson and class he could. He is learning to play the bass here.
Leven made a best friend rather quickly after starting high school. Everyone meet the lovely Graciela Whitmore. I am sure you will see her face around the Lemi’s quite often, and yes she is a sweet as she looks. There is mask with this sim.
~~
Just days before the new Lemi arrivals Ashby had family pictures taken, and what a lovely family too.
Everyone meet the Emerald-Lemi triplets. From left to right we have Fern, Tyme and Little Barklay. These three cuties will fit nicely with the Lemi’s.
~~
SOMETHING WORTH MENTIONING
Yes folks not only did the Lemi’s add three new babies, but another pet. Meet Caesar. Asher missed JackRabbit so badly that he adopted this noble steed from a family that was moving from the island to the big city. Caesar is making himself quite comfortable in the Lemi home. Looks like Asher is quite happy.. Ride Um Cowboy… *giggle*
Jones you don’t have to be afraid of Mr. Caesar. He is very friendly.
Yes he is doing quite well in the Lemi household.
Well I am going to leave you with this cute picture of Jones and Sassy. She has really taken a liking to the young lad and I think they are going to be the best of friends.
I want to thank you all for reading, but hey be on the watch I have an update on one of Ashby’s kids coming up really quick. Another Lemi child has found love and I think you will be surprised at who and with whom it is with.
Please I love to hear your comments so leave me a little please. You can do it here or on my facebook at Ashby Lemi.
If you want any of the kids you can go to the table of content page.
Thank you again.
Ashby Lemi – babies 44 and 45
ASHBY LEMI’S 100 BABY CHALLENGE
BABY 44 and 45
The house was now filled with two adults, a Teenage boy, twin children and twin toddlers.
This being said the sets of twins tended to bond. Orchid and Dutton could be found playing domino’s or at the park together.
And Leven and Hooper could be found in their room playing. Playing is used loosely, Leven loved to scare her younger brother, but even though she did this Hooper loved her and followed her everywhere.
All this bonding left O’Deen feeling a little left out and his neediness returned soon after he turned into a teenager and he decided to tend to that neediness with a girlfriend, but it seemed that most girls didn’t like needy.
He met Leslie Feldman in his history class and he was very attracted to her. He was actually surprised when she agreed to go out with him and soon the two of them were spending a lot of time together, but their relationship was more about making out then talking or really getting to know each other.
Leslie was a fun-loving gal who liked to hang out with her friends as well as her boyfriend, but she didn’t like to mix them and when O’Deen started to complain about spending time with her friends she started to lose interest with him.
And finally one day she went over to his house to break up with him. O’Deen didn’t like this much and a huge fight occurred and ended with Leslie storming out of his house. She had hoped they could remain friends, but that didn’t happen.
A few weeks later He got involved with a gal named Mercedes Quintanilla. She was a cute sim but all she was interested in is athletics’ and staying fit.
O’Deen found himself at the gym all the time. He liked being fit but they didn’t talk about anything other than work outs and healthy food and physical affection was an illusion. Soon O’Deen just stopped calling her and she didn’t seem to mind.
The last gal he tried to have a relationship with was Bertha Doe. She was a smart gal who loved the library. Every time O’Deen tried to kiss his gal she would pull away. He figure she was just shy or something like that, but two weeks after they started dating he went looking for her. He couldn’t find her at her house, or the coffee shop they frequented so he went looking for her at the library and caught her making out with someone else there.
He was devastated. Ashby tried to calm him, to tell him that this is just high school and when he grows up he will meet more mature women and have better luck in the love department. She told him how handsome he was and any girl would be lucky to have him, but he just didn’t believe her.
Ashby worried about O’Deen giving up on women, but hoped it will return when he ventured out into the “real world”. Until then she made sure to spend extra time with him.
~~
You would think that Ashby would be use to raising a household of children, but every child is different and every group of children who live together are different and with this group she had her hands full.
“Mommy…Mommy..come play with us in the sand.” The Eggplant triplets would call.
As soon as she would sit down in the sand with the twins the younger set of twins would toddle behind her. “I wanna pway.” Leven would squeal as Hooper crawled into Ashby’s lap.
“We want to play with you mommy.” Orchid would howl. She wasn’t taking it well that there were younger “babies” in the house.
“We can all play together.” Ashby would say in a calm voice.
“Forget it. Come on Dutton let’s go play in the tree house.”
Ashby would just pull her babies into her arms and let out a heavy sigh.
The Aquamarine twins also loved books and Ashby found herself reading to them a lot. She loved this time with the babies and just knew that this would enrich their lives. Perhaps one will grow up to be a professor, or a scholar or well anything they want to be.
~~
This time around Asher really hadn’t bonded with any of the children the household. Oh don’t get me wrong he loved them all and they loved him, but the four youngest were momma’s kids and O’Deen had decided that his best friends were the dogs so he found himself with some spare time. In that spare time he decided to take up gold.
With Asher out playing golf and the children vying for her attention left Ashby with little time to herself, but when she got a call from her son Quinn Starr-Bright she found an excuse to do just that, take time for herself.
Asher, who has always supported her spending time with her kids, agreed take care of the house hold the upcoming Saturday. Ashby sat down the kids and told them that she was taking a day and that Asher was in charge. None of them were happy about this, but Ashby knew in her heart they would behave.
Quinn had explained to Ashby over the phone that his company, oh I should take the time right to tell you that Quinn is an architect, had built a horse and dog race track in Sunset Valley and he and Newbie wanted to take her to the grand opening. He told Ashby that there would be several familiar faces there and he wouldn’t take no for an answer. Two days after she got off the phone she got a postcard in the mail with an appointment for a dress fitting for the Friday before. Her boys had went in together and ordered her a fancy dress for the event.
She went to her fitting and she felt like a princess in her fancy dress and big floppy hat. She was ecstatic about the day to follow.
Ashby woke up early in the next morning and put breakfast on for her family. When they were done eating she changed into her new dress and waited for her ride. When she heard the limo honking for her she squealed like a little girl, kissed Asher and the kids headed out for her day.
When her car pulled up to her destination she gasped out loud. The place was beautiful and she was so proud that one of her sons was the lead architect on the project. She couldn’t wait to see her boys and find out who else has been invited to the event.
She opened the car door and was greeted by a large, friendly hand and soon found herself hugging a beaming Quinn. She kissed him on his cheek and then moved to hug her son Newbie. She was so happy they were in town.
When Christy Quinn came up behind her and put her hands over Ashby’s eyes Ashby was startled but when she whirled around and saw one of her very best friends she hugged her and then shoved a camera into her friend’s hand.
“Take a picture of me and my boys, will ya Christy?”
“Sure thing Ash.” Christy turned on the camera and got ready to shoot.
“Come on boys. Hey Christy did you know that Quinn did all this?” Ashby was bursting with pride.
“He told me when he called me. I am so proud of my smart Godson.” Christy snapped the picture.
“Mom, Christy I was part of a team. I didn’t do this alone.” The always modest Quinn expressed.
“Come on let your mom be the proud mother she is.” She slide her arm in his. “Will you take a picture with your ole’ Godmother?”
“Of Course. Mom will you come take one?” Quinn asked.
Ashby got this cute picture by the marble fountain. Awe what is this I see. Quinn making the love of his mother and Godmother know. He is such a sweet boy.
After Ashby took this picture she was rushed by the other special guests. The other guests in attendance were Violet Newbie, Dawn Turner, Addy McKnight, Her and Asher’s first son Derrick and she was introduced to Newbie’s girlfriend Breeze Roman. Ashby felt like a kid in a candy store surrounded by so many people she loved.
Being that it was opening day there was only one race scheduled for the day and it was later in the afternoon. However all the other features of the track was open.
The group started out together and enjoyed seeing the morning rituals the race track held. Jockey’s taking care of their horses, dog trainers working with their dogs and vendors preparing for the day at hand.
“Oh I am going to stop at this gift shop.” Ashby broke from the group and wandered away with Addy on her heels. She had spotted a cute little shirt that would be perfect for her Ivy.
“Breeze you come with Quinn, Christy and I. We would like to get to know you better my dear.” Violet grabbed Breeze’s hand and they wandered toward the lounge area.
Dawn and Newbie found themselves alone. Not thinking much of it Newbie reached over and grabbed her hand as they walked. As they walked a horse, named Cobalt, followed along the fence trying to get their attention.
“I want to pet him.” Dawn said turning in front of Newbie and letting go of his hand.
She reached forward over the fence clicking her tongue trying to make the steed come closer. When the horse began to grow closer Newbie, who had never really been around horses before, got nervous and grabbed Dawn trying to pull her away.
“What is wrong with you?” She asked giggling.
“I don’t want it to bite you. It is so big.” He said innocently.
“Newbie, I wouldn’t put myself in danger. The horse just wants his neck rubbed.” She rolled her eyes at him and he let her go.
She climbed up on the bottom rung of the fence trying to get closer to the horse, but her shoe slipped causing her to fall backwards, but Newbie was there to catch her.
Dawn turned her head to smile at Newbie, but she her eyes met his she didn’t turn away like she should nor did she let go of his hands around her waist. Newbie stared deeply into her purple eyes and his face began to inch closer to hers and Dawn tilted her head back slightly, but when her hat began to slip off her head their moment was broken.
Pulling her hat back on her head she laughed. “Thanks Newbie for catching me.”
Newbie laughed along with Dawn, but he wasn’t sure it was a laughing matter. His was left wanting that would be kiss, but also with an abundance of guilt because someone close by was his girlfriend. “I should go find Breeze.” He muttered and walked away.
“There you are beautiful.” Newbie said putting his hands on the bar and leaning toward Breeze.
“Come here handsome.” She put her finger under his chin and guided his face to hers.
Newbie felt like a deer in headlights when Breeze placed her dainty lips on his, but he returned her kiss. There was no need to ruffle their relationship, was there?
When they break the kiss Newbie took her hand, “Come on I have a surprise for you.”
“What is it?” She asked.
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you.” He chuckled.
“This is such a great experience.” Breeze gushed as she rubbed her cheek against the regal steeds mane.
Newbie had asked one of the Jockeys if he and Breeze could get a picture on his horse. Newbie wanted to know how it felt to be on the back of a horse and frankly he enjoyed it and started thinking about perhaps purchasing one in the future, perhaps when he settles down in his forever home. As much as he loved his brother, Quinn, he didn’t plan on living with him forever.
“Derrick, my boy, will you come and take a picture with me and your brothers?”
“Sure mom.” Derrick wiped his mouth and threw his napkin down on the remaining of his hotdog and stood up.
“Say Cheese.” Violet said as she snapped this great family photo.
The afternoon air was hot and the betting for the race was opening soon so the group took some time to relax.
“So Newbie who are you betting on?” Violet leaned over to hear Newbie’s answer.
Newbie thought the question over. The near kiss with Dawn enters his mind and he blurts out his answer. “Cobalt!”
“Well good luck.” Noticing the betting booth opening Violet stands up, straight’s her dress and heads to make her bet.
After the bets were made the group made their way over to the track to experience their first horse race.
As they made their way over to the track Newbie hung back and grabbed his mom’s shoulder. “Can we talk?”
She assured the group they would catch up and she took Newbie’s arm. “What’s the matter dear?” Ashby asked in her best mom voice.
“Mom, I am struggling with some feelings.” Newbie admitted.
“What kind of feelings?”
Reaching his arm up to scratch the back of his neck he lets out his conflict. “Feelings that I shouldn’t have about Dawn. She is my best friend and I care about Breeze and dating her, but lately I have been getting jealous in regards to Dawn and even thought about kissing her.”
Ashby let out a soft chuckle and leaned her head against his shoulder. “Son, I can’t tell you what to do with those feelings, but what I can say is life happens the way it should and whatever is to come don’t fight it. This situation could result in hurt feelings, but no matter what happens just listen to your heart. Make sure you are happy and if hurt feelings should come about make sure you do it as gently as you can.”
Newbie looked at this mom with a quizzical look. He wanted to ask her what that was supposed to mean and what is he suppose to do about his confusing feelings, but they were interrupted by Addy’s excited voice.
“Come on you two we don’t want to miss the race.”
“Just remember what I said.” Ashby smiled, grabbed his hand and pulled him toward the track.
**I want to thank Elise Costa for making this track**
“And they’re off.” The group heard the announcer over the loud speaker.
The race was so exhilarating and they found themselves cheering, jumping up and down and encouraging the horse they bet on. In the end Cobalt won the race.
Challenge mom’s Dawn Turner, Violet Newbie, Ashby Lemi, Christy Quinn and Addy McKnight had a wonderful time at the track that day. They relished spending time good friends and the short break from their kids. It was a great day!
~~
Ashby got in late and all of the kids, dogs and her husband had been asleep. The next morning when she descended the stairs she was greeted with this site.
“Mama, Mama…” Hooper spotted his mom, nudged the sleeping Sake off his foot and waddled to where she stood. Ashby swept him into her arms.
“How are you my boy?” Ashby asked kissing him on the top of his head.
“I missed you mama.” Hooper whispered into her ear.
“I missed you too sweetie.” Ashby hugged tightly to her son as the realization that he wasn’t going to be a toddler for much longer entered her mind.
~~
Remember this guy? He is one of the Birthstone dads, Diamond White-Birch and he was the next guy Ashby had an appointment with.
I wonder what his kids will look like?
~~
“And the prince and princess lived happily ever after.” Ashby finished the story and kissed the toddlers on the head.
“Again mommy…again.” Leven clapped her hands.
“No sweetie, it is nap time and when you wake up we shall have your birthday.”
“Oktay Mama.” Hooper smiled up at Ashby.
“Sleep well my little angels.” Ashby said as she closed the bedroom door.
She went downstairs to start the birthday bash.
First up the eldest in the household, O’Deen. What a handsome young adult he is. I am sure his luck will change when he moves forward, don’t you?
Orchid got her father’s eyes, but the rest is all Ashby. She is a stunning gal who loves to having fun.
Dutton what is that face? He grew into a very kind-hearted teenager.
These two are crazy. They keep Ashby laughing all the time.
Then it was Leven and Hooper’s turn. They had their picture taken with the puppies and that was the last photo’s taken of Sally and Sake as puppies, because they too aged up.
Sassy Lemi
Sake Lemi
O’Deen said good-bye to his family and moved out after the party.
~~
The day before the new little ones arrived Ashby had an amazing thing happen to her. She was watching a deer run in the field across from her home and decided to try to get closer. The deer actually let her pet him. It was truly beautiful.
~~
And I introduce you to Jones (named after Kira Teagan Jones) and Seely White-Birch Lemi. Gosh these little boys are too cute for words. What do you think?
I think their older siblings think so too.
Thank you as always for reading. I hope this post wasn’t too all over the place. Please let me know what you think. I would love feedback and you can leave that here or find me on Facebook under Ashby Lemi.
Ashby Lemi – babies 40, 41, 42 and 43
ASHBY LEMI’S 100 BABY CHALLENGE
BABY 40, 41, 42 and 43
***There is a little bit of language in this post as well as a hit of mature content***
O’Deen was a very needy baby, but smart as a whip. Ashby had never before had such a needy baby before. She was very thankful when he learned his skills rather quickly and she was able to age him up.
It doesn’t look like he is too happy to be a child. I think Ashby may have some trouble on her hands, but let’s hope I am wrong.
~~
Even tough Song and Cindi-Lou weren’t as close as they were when they were both in the children age Song still idolized her big sister and took every advantage in getting some sister time.
“Read to me Cindi.” She would beg.
“Oh alright squirt.” Cindi-Lou would say with a smile and they would pick out a book and head to bedroom. Song would get her pj’s on and snuggle down into bed and Cindi-Lou would read her story to her with animated text.
“Mom, why doesn’t Song like me?” Rue was very upset that her twin sister didn’t want to spend time with her.
“Honey, it isn’t that she doesn’t like you. Sometimes people just don’t have the same interests and they find they get along better with certain people.” Ashby wasn’t sure what was going on with her girls, but she couldn’t let Rue walk around thinking she was hated.
“But we are twins. That is something that only her and I share.” Tears filled the little girls eyes.
“Come here baby.” Ashby swept the girl into her arms. “You are loved baby girl. Don’t you ever forget that.” She kissed her on her forehead. “You and Song will find your way to each other, but the time just isn’t now.”
Rue seemed to take that and she hugged tight to her mom letting her hum to her ever so gently.
~~
Scrooge felt a little out of place. Besides O’Deen he was the only boy in the household and with such an age gap between the two of them he decided to get to know Asher better.
“Dad,” Many of Ashby’s kids called Asher dad even though they were never told they had to. “I was wondering what you were doing today? Would you like to hang out?” He asked one sunny Saturday afternoon.
“I was getting ready to head to the gym. Would you like to go?” Asher was very happy that Scrooge wanted to do something with him.
“Yeah sounds like fun.”
“Come on Scrooge you can do it.” Asher encouraged the young man.
“I am not sure I can.” Scrooge’s voice was strained and tired.
“Okay let’s call it a day.” Asher clapped the boy on the back and they went and grabbed some lunch.
When Scrooge and Asher got home that day Scrooge fond O’Deen playing one of his favorite video games and couldn’t resist joining his sibling.
“I didn’t know you like video games.” Scrooge said trying to make his little pixel guy jump over the box.
“You have never asked me.” As I have said before O’Deen is pretty smart.
“Perhaps we can hang out more Dude.”
The two got lost in their game.
~~
Ashby always looks for new things to participate in and when she read that a new family from England needed a place to stay while their house was being built she signed up.
Meet the Dudley family. They are a bunch of fun, silly people. The Dudley family became very close with the Lemi family, but especially the twin boys Zeke and Zion.
In the weeks that they stayed with the Lemi’s love started to bloom.
Zeke and Marlie could be found singing karaoke or just watching the stars together. He just got her and she got him and they were so comfortable with each other.
Cindi-Lou and Zion were a little more carefree. They enjoyed the beach and talking late into the night.
Both love affairs were on their own course, but it was Marlie and Zeke who shared a first kiss first.
And she couldn’t wait to get home to tell her sister all about it.
“What was it like?” Cindi-Lou asked with a giggle.
“It was soft, sweet and kind of wet.” Marlie whispered in her ear.
“Ewwwe…wet? I am not sure I would like that.” Cindi-Lou scrunched her nose up at her sister.
“No..no..it wasn’t gross. It was beautiful. I felt as if my body was consumed by fireworks.”
The girls gossiped into the night.
~~
Scrooge on the other hand wasn’t into girls or making a lot of friends. He wanted to learn music. After school and homework he would convince Ashby to play the guitar with him and whenever the karaoke machine was available he got O’Deen to sing with him.
He was so musically talented but he wasn’t sure if he was going to make a living with him or if this was for his enjoyment.
Whatever he decides I think he is going to be successful. How about you?
~~
Then before anyone was really ready it was time for a Lemi birthday bash and another trio of Ashby’s kids to move out.
First up were the triplets. Scrooge, Marlie and Cindi-Lou grew up beautifully.
They said good-bye to their mom and for the first time they all left separately. Scrooge moved out and headed to a friend’s loft to play music 24/7 and figure out what he wanted to do with this life.
 Marlie and Zeke headed to the apartment they had rented.
While Cindi-Lou and Zion move across town to the house they rented from another of the Lemi kids.
Even though the party was mostly family Song and Rue’s dad Don Turner attended. He was quite shocked that his girls were already teenagers. Look at these two girls. They have the right combination of Don and Ashby don’t you think?
O’Deen had the choice to stay a child or age up and he chose to stay a child for a bit longer.
~~
Ashby decided to take some time before getting pregnant again.
She spent time with her overly needy son O’Deen.
She and Asher took long walks in the park while the kids were at school.
And she took some much needed time with her friends Christy Quinn and Violet Newbie.
They went for a picnic in the park and for some drinks and pool in the evening.
“Do tell us your secret Christy.” Ashby urged.
“Yes do tell us darling.” Violet leaned over Ashby to hear what Christy has to say.
“Well Ashby dear, apparently your Simi and my James have been caught around town together.” Christy whispered with a smile.
“Isn’t that a big strange?” Violet innocently asked. “James and Ashby have a daughter together making Bay and Simi half sisters.”
“Simi and James have no relation.” Ashby defended. She was so happy that her baby girl had found such a great guy like James Quinn.
“I for one approve.” Christy winked at Ashby and the ladies continued on with their night.
~~
Asher even took some time to spend with his brother A.J. When you get the two Lemi boys together you never know what will happen. They had planned to go fishing, but instead decided to go rock climbing and without the proper equipment. Luckily they made it safe and sound and spent several hours up there just talking about life and rehashing the past.
They even talked about their dearly departed friend Connery Bright. The boys missed him terribly and Asher found it hard to bring him up to Ashby. So it was good to have some brother time.
~~
Remember this guy? Yep Ashby couldn’t put it off any longer and Baby 40 was conceived with Amethyst Eggplant.
(From left to right: Song, Rue, Perkins, Peeta (Ms. Young’s son), Ms. Young, Julie, Monika and Spenser)
Song and Rue were doing so well in school that they got chosen to go to France with a group of classmates and their teacher Ms. Young.
It was an opportunity of a life time, filled with hopes, dreams, friends and even romance. The trip was planned for the students to learn about the French culture and they had several assignments they had to do in regards to what they learned. The girls were excited.
Perkins Smith was a ladies’ man, or at least in his mind he was, and had decided on the plane ride that he was going to get with Rue Lemi. He had been watching from a far for a while and just knew he had a chance with her. He waited till they went on their first tour to make his move.
He waited until she was viewing an exhibit taking notes about what she was view. Creeping up behind her he grabbed her around the waist and gently kissed her neck.
Dropping her notebook Rue whirled around screaming. “How dare you! You don’t just come up to a girl and kiss them without their permission.”
“Oh honey you know you like it.” Perkins gave her what he considered his dazzling grin.
“Perkins Smith you are disgusting. Stay away from me.” In a huff she grabbed her notebook from the floor and walked away.
“What a Bitch!” Perkins was put off by Rue’s behavior. “Oh well her sister is kind of hot. I bet she would be into me.”
Seeing that Song was a little bit more on the quieter side then her sister he decided to try a different approach with her. He followed her around, making sure to sit next to her on the bus and volunteering to be her partner when projects were assigned.
Another boy in the group also found himself volunteering to be Rue’s partner. The day that Perkins hit on her she had run out of the museum trying to keep back tears of shame. She had never had a boy treat her with such disrespect before and she didn’t know how to handle it. Her father, Don, her step father Asher nor any of her brothers behaved like Perkins and her mother had never prepared her for it. She wasn’t looking where she was going and she literally ran right into Peeta Young.
“Are you okay Rue?” He asked patting her back when she pushed up against him and wrapped her arm around him. She just wanted to feel comfort.
When Rue calmed down she told him all about Perkins and she felt so comfortable with him. They ended up walking back to the hotel and from that day forward they had become inseparable.
Then a trip to the nectary changed both of the relationships.
Perkins finally swindled Song into making out with him.
And after sharing a bottle of nectar Peeta blurted out that he loved Rue and admitted that he wanted to be with her. He wanted to be her boyfriend.
Rue squeaked with delight and accepted willingly. That night they left the nectary arm in arm, in love and contemplating taking their relationship to the next level.
The trip many good things as I have said before and the most important is that it brought the sisters together. Rue finally had her twin in her corner and since they had grown so close she decided she need to let Song what she thought of Perkins.
“Perkins Smith is a disgusting pig and I just don’t want you to get hurt.” Rue pointed out to Song.
“He is just misunderstood.” Song assured her concerned sister, but I will be careful she assured her.
“I have your back. Just remember that.”
A great time was had by all in France and by the end of the trip they were all ready go to home and get back to their lives.
~~
When Song and Rue were in France Ashby gave birth to babies 40 and 41 Multi-Gender twins. Meet Little Orchid Eggplant Lemi. How cute is she? She has her mother’s hair and skin coloring and her dad’s eyes.
Let me introduce you to Dutton Eggplant Lemi. He is so unique with his skin coloring and his already great style.
The delivery was one of the worst Ashby has had to date and she found herself watching over her new babies as they slept. The doctor’s had told her they were fine, but she couldn’t help but worry about them.
Song took to Dutton like a fish to water. When she wasn’t in school, doing homework or with Perkins she could be found playing with this little guy.
“You are the cutest thing every.” She cooed as she tickled the little boy.
~~
About a month had passed since the girls came home from France and things in their life were changing rapidly. Perkins seemed to be pulling away from Song and one day when they were hanging out in her bedroom things came to an abrupt halt.
They had been making out when Perkins got a telephone call. Breaking their kiss he got up and took it with no regard for Song still on the bed.
“Hey babe….Oh really….Yeah I can come over. Give me fifteen minutes.”
“Wh…who was that?” Song was confused by the word babe and the abruptness that he wanted to leave.
“Cassidy Barns, my girlfriend.” Perkins dropped a bomb.
“Your….Your what?” Song jumped off the bed.
“You heard me.” He slides his phone into his pocket. “Catch you around.”
Song threw herself off the bed and grabbed his waist bringing them both to the ground. Perkins twists to face her and took a hold of her hands. “Ggggirlll.” He said in a wicked voice and pulled her to her feet.
Startling her by pushing her up against the wall he looked deep in her eyes.
“Listen to me girlie. In France I wanted your sister not you, but she refused me so you did in a pinch. Cassidy has been my girlfriend since before France and that is the way it is going to stay. Do you hear me!”
“But what about after France?” Song was a afraid to ask, but she forced herself.
“Hhahahah…well you turned out to be a great kisser and I was hoping to get laid.”
Pushing him away from her she stated screaming at him. “Get out. Get out of my house and stay away from me and my sister. Rue was right you are a disgusting pig.”
Perkins let out a little chuckle. “Whatever babe, I’m out of here.” He left that day never to return to the Lemi household.
~~
Rue’s relationship with Peeta was changing as well. They had, had such a great time in France, but when they got back they found it hard to find things to talk about. Rue still loved being kissed by him, but she wasn’t as comfortable with him as she had once been and she wasn’t sure what was going on.
Everyone in the Lemi household loved Peeta and thought that Rue found a good match in him, and that made everything she felt inside ten times worse.
The two were invited to a pool party and the whole time Peeta followed Rue around like a lost puppy. She encouraged him to go and hang out with his friends, which he hadn’t done since they got back, and just have fun, but he refused and just kept company with her.
When Rue thought she was about to scream she moved away from the group of youths trying to find some peace and get her thoughts together.
“What’s wrong babe?” Peeta came up behind Rue and put his loving arms around her.
She looked up into his kind eyes. “I don’t know. I guess I’m not feeling well.”
“Do you want to go?”
“Yeah I think that it is a good idea.”
They said good-bye to their friends, changed and Peeta walked her home giving her a soft kiss on her doorstep.
A week later he took her to the local teen hangout for a date. They had a great time playing skeet ball and pool, but when night began Peeta began feeling amorous. He pulled her over to the couch for a teenage make out session, but when his lips found her Rue felt nothing.
She kissed his forehead and pulled away from it. Tears instantly begin to flow down her face. “I can’t do this.”
“Do what?” Peeta’s voice was worried and scared.
“Us. Peeta I can’t pretend there is anything between us anymore. I think France was our romance.”
“What are you talking about?” Peeta’s voice raises a few octaves and they are asked to leave.
Once outside their first fight emitted. Peeta did a lot of yelling and begging and Rue did a lot of listening and crying and in the end Rue left Peeta standing outside the hang out and she walked home.
After Rue walked away from the heartbroken Peeta he aged himself up and left Sunset Valley. The only thing he left behind was a text message to Rue that said: “Rue if you ever cared about me at all please don’t tell my mom what happened between us. I have left Sunset Valley for good and I don’t want anyone to follow. Peeta.”
The next day Ms. Young called Rue in a panic looking for Peeta. Rue had cared for Peeta and she did as she was asked and lied. She told Ms. Young that she didn’t know where he was and last she saw him was outside the hang up after their date. Ms. Young began frantically calling all of his friends after that.
A few days passed and Rue’s heart was breaking. It was breaking for having to lie to Ms. Young, it was breaking for having to hurt Peeta and most of all it was breaking because now that he was gone she missed him like crazy. She was beginning to doubt her decision to break up with him.
Rue found herself at the park seeking solitude when Song found her. “There, there, little sister. It will be okay.” She Hugged her sister tightly. “You can’t beat yourself up because you wanted to be happy.”
“That’s it Song I don’t know if I made the right choice. Now that he is gone my heart aches for him and I miss him.” Rue admitted out loud for the first time.
Song spun her around and wiped the tears from her face. “Rue, whatever is going to happen will happen. You can’t stop life from happening nor can you stop making choices. Some of those choices are going to be good and some will be back. Some you will learn from and others will just make you happy. If you and Peeta are meant to be then the two of your will find each other again. For now Rue Turner Lemi you need to dry those tears and move on with your life.”
The girls spent the rest of the day at the lake.
“Song we are about to age up soon and we don’t have boyfriends or being life plans.” Rue pointed out.
“That is true dear sister, but we will be fine. We finally have each other, we have a wonderful mom who loves us. We have several brothers and sisters who will always be there for us and a Step-Father that has loved us as if we were his own since the day we were born. On top of all this our father is Dawn Turner’s cousin. I think that will all that support behind us we will be fine.” The always optimistic Song pointed out.
That night when they walked through the door Ashby noticed that Rue’s eyes were red and they were glossed over with fresh tears.
“Come here baby.” Ashby pats that couch next to her. “Song run upstairs and check on the twins for me, will you?”
Song went up stairs and Rue sat next to her mother.
“What happened Baby Girl?” and took her daughters hand.
Rue told the whole story to her mother.
As fresh tears stain Rue’s face again Ashby pulls her into her arms, and much like when she was a little girl and fretting over Song she comforted her. She kissed the top of her head and said, “Honey, heartache is part of life. It is part of what makes a person well round. Learn from it, nurture it, but don’t dwell on it.”
“Oh mom.” Rue buried her face in Ashby’s protective hold.
~~
At the time she had the bonding moment with Rue Ashby was well on her way to bring babies 41 and 42 into the world. The Father… you remember this guy, right? Caribbean Aquamarine.
The Lemi’s welcomed Leven Aquamarine Lemi.
And Hooper Aquamarine Lemi.
~~
Another Lemi birthday rolled around.
Rue and Song Turner Lemi. Look at these stunning girls. They grew up so well and with their own styles and personalities, but most of they have finally become each other’s best friend.
They said good-bye to their mom and the rest of the family and set off into Sunset Valley to find their way in life.
O’Deen from needy baby and young man to a handsome teenager.
And the Eggplant twins, Dutton and Orchid. Aren’t they too cute for words?
Thank you as always for reading. I want to mention that I know Christy Quinn has taken a different direction with her blog/story, but I just couldn’t take her out of my game. She is one of Ashby’s bff’s so stay tuned to see differences between her blog and mine. Also I am not sure the relationship status of James in her game, but mine put him and Simi together and I thought it was cute so I wanted to keep it that way in mine.
Please comment I love to hear what you think. You can leave me a message here or on my facebook page under Ashby Lemi.
