Ashby Lemi’s – Babies 49, 50 and 51

Hi everyone..yep it is me again Ashby. I am sure you are getting tired of my blog going from first person to third, but Nina; my good friend and the person who has been writing my blog for some time now, had to go back to her country. She had some family issues she has to take care of. Victor offered to get me another author, but I decided that the rest of the challenge will be written by a Lemi. That being said you will see things written by me and I have given access to all of my kids and they have promised that if there is something to report about them they will log in post it.

So last time the blog left you with news that Orchid and Dutton moving out, Leven and Hooper becoming Teens and Fern, Tyme and Barklay were born, and since then a lot has happened and Leven is going to start off this post.

Hi everyone, it’s me Leven. I’m not a great writer, but I am going to give it a whirl.

Not long after Hooper and I started high school I began to have a shadow. A new family, The Falk’s, had moved into town and their boy, Brighton, began following me around. At first I found it kind of creepy to see him outside of my classes and at my locker at any given time during the day, but then he started to become sort of sweet when he would offer to carry my books and open doors for me. I never let him carry my books but it was sweet.

About three weeks after school started he and his sister, Yusun, announced they were having a party. They randomly handed out invites, but he asked me personally. He told me that he wanted to get to know me better and that is why they were having this party. I told him I would think about going and it seemed to make him happy.

I found myself intrigued because I heard that the Falk’s lived on a house boat. It was rumored that Mr. Falk traveled around the world for his job and living on a boat allowed them to be mobile. I wasn’t prepared to go on my own so I con’d Hooper into going with me.

We showed up at 2 and we were taken back.  Brighton was standing on the deck waiting for us.  I couldn’t believe that they really lived on a houseboat.

He quickly ran down to great us. He shook Hooper’s hand and threw his arm around my shoulders. I was surprised with myself when I didn’t push it away. It felt kind of nice. He slowly guided me to the boat as he talked about the fun day we were going to have. I found myself smiling up at this handsome face. It was a very strange sensation.

He gave Hooper and I a tour of the boathouse as some of our classmates began to show up. Yusun was a gracious host and greeted them. After everyone arrived we had lunch, and what a spread they had. It was buffet style and we had so much to choose from.

After lunch some jumped into the ocean to cool off while other of us lay out on the deck of the boat and took in the sun.

We had a great time dancing.

Then without warning Brighton swept me into his arms and held me close.  He didn’t care who was watching or what people thought.  He held me tightly in his arms for two songs, and when the second song was over he asked me to go on a walk with him and I agreed.

We found a beautiful spot with grass, not sand, and we both sat down. He pulled me against him and I found myself quite comfortable listening to his heart beat against his chest. He rubbed my back and I smiled widely.

“Leven, I really like you. Will you be my girlfriend?” Brighton sprung the question on me and I sat up and looked at him with a puzzled expression. I didn’t know what to say and I just stared at him.

He chuckled lifting his hand to my check. He rubbed his thumb over my cheek and I shivered with excitement. I couldn’t deny that Brighton made me blush. “I…I…can I let you know at school on Monday?” I stammered like a true awkward teenager.

Another laugh escaped his lips. “Sure.” was his sweet reply as he pulled me back down to him.

That evening as the sun sank into the ground Brighton walked me out and I received my very first kiss. The butterflies consumed me as his lips brushed up against mine and cold when his hands ran up my arms. My knees were weak as he pulled me closer to him and then it was over. It was over way to soon. I found myself wanting to answer his earlier question right then and there, but I felt I had to live up to my promise of Monday.

As I walked toward that car that would take Hooper and I hope I heard my brother snicker in his seat. “Shut up.” I hissed but I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

I didn’t hear from Brighton on Sunday, but I didn’t mind. I wasn’t the typical high school girl who got upset over things like that, but I was eager for Monday to come so that I could find him, throw myself into his arms and tell him I would be his girl. However, my Monday plans were ruin when I got to school and neither Brighton or Yusun could be found. I was told that their father lifted anchor and took his family to the next business destination.

I didn’t quite believe this horrid rumor I heard and after school I dragged Hooper to the location of the boat house. As we looked at the empty water where the boat was just two days before Hooper pulled me into a protective hug as I sobbed onto his shoulder.

It hurt my heart to watch my daughter mope around the house. I told her that things would be better and that everyone goes through a broken heart at some point in their life, but all I got was a blank stare as I talked. I knew that going though heart-break while being young it feels like the end of the world and I knew she would eventual get over it, but that didn’t stop me from trying to make my baby-girl feel better.

Then I got heartbreaking news myself. News that almost made me give up my challenge for the second time during the time I have been doing this challenge.

My son Jones had been in and out of the hospital since he was born. The doctors never really knew what kept him sick, but every few months he was either home sick or sick enough to be in the hospital.

When he and his twin Seely aged into children I offered, as I do to all my children, to send them to a specialty boarding school if they would like. Seely, as all my other children had before him, opted to stay home and be with me and our family, but Jones, to my surprise, took me up on my offer. He told me he had already done some research and wanted to be sent to a specialty school in Hidden Springs. I was shocked and my first instinct was to tell him he couldn’t go; that he couldn’t leave me, but Asher saved me, as he always does, from that embarrassment.

A few days later I made the arrangements.

The night before he left I stood at the bottom of the stairs and watched some of my children bond over one of their favorite movies, but I could see the sadness in the room.  Seely was distracted as he looked down to the carpet and Leven had been just as worried and upset as I had been all week-long.

I was like a visible shadow in the house that night. I followed Jones everywhere. After the movie was over Hooper, who had been working out during the movie, read Jones their favorite story and with a tear in his eye kissed him on his head before leaving the room. As Hooper moved passed me I put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. He smiled up at me and left the room.

I took his place next to Jones and pulled the blanket up to his chin.

“Mom I will be okay.” He whispered in a tired voice.

“I know you will.” I flicked the tears away from my eyes.

I knew he wanted to say more, but he was just too tired and his eyes drooped heavily. I stroked his hair as he drifted off to sleep for the last time in his childhood home.

Jones flight wasn’t until the next evening so we all had some more quality time with him. We played games and watched old home movies and ate all of Jones’ favorite junk foods and as afternoon faded to evening we heard the cab horn honk in our driveway and the whole family froze in terror. All but Jones that was. He ran to the door and grabbed his suitcase. “Come on guys..I have to go.” He called.

We all said our good-byes before he headed out the door.

Then just he and I walked out onto the porch.

I scooped him into my arms.

He grabbed my face and said, “Mom I am too big to be picked up.” His voice was hallow and somber just like I felt.

“I know. It’s just that I’m going to miss you my beloved boy. We all are.”

“I’m going to miss you too.” He wiped the tear that slipped down my face. “But there is email, Skype and the phone. I will only be gone in distance.”

“When did you get so smart?” I asked.

“I am what I am because of you mom.” He snaked his arms around my neck and squeezed tightly. “I Love you mom.”

“I love you to Jones. Call me when you get there.”

I set him down and watched him run to the taxi.

You can read more about Jones here

I missed my child but he lived up to his word. As soon as he got to school I got a phone call from him and then every day after I either got a call, email or we arranged to skype so I could see how well he was doing, and doing well he was. After two weeks went by we all started to get back to normal and it was time for another Lemi birthday.

Fern, Tyme and Barklay were now children and oh my Barklay got the evil trait.  This should be interesting.

But wait it looks like the girls may be able to hold their own. Don’t they look like they are plotting against Barklay?

The kids, especially Barklay, hated school and when summer rolled around they we so very excited to have three months off and to meet their big brother and his fiancée Newbie and Dawn. Since she could read Tyme had been reading Dawn’s blog and she thought it was so cool that her brother was in it. I asked her once if she thought it was cool that she was talked about in my blog and this is what she said. “Mom,” In a very sarcastic child like tone I should add, “Your blog doesn’t get as much traffic or has as many fans as Ms. Dawn’s does.” She rolled her eyes at me and sauntered off. Gosh I love my kids.

Then the big day arrived and when I heard the cab pull up into the driveway I ran to the door and was greeted by my angel baby and one of my best friends in the world.

“Newbie, my boy!” I flung myself into his arms and he squeezed me tightly.

“Hi mom.” He couldn’t hide his laugh as we released each other. I know we just skyped the night before to make sure everything was in order, but it isn’t the same as seeing your loved one in person and holding them and hugging them.

Next I grabbed Dawn and pulled her into a giant hug as well. “I have missed you both”

“We have missed you too.” Dawn answered for the both of them and my smile grew wider as I realized how much in love these two were.

Just then cab driver came up behind Newbie and Dawn and handed Newbie a cat carrier. “What is that?” I asked puzzled.

“Mom, Dawn and I have a gift for you.” Newbie grinned at me and handed me the cat carrier.

“Oh?” I put it down and opened the door and two beautiful cats cautiously made their way out.

“We know how much you admire the rainbow cats and there are none here on the island so we brought you a breeding pair.” Dawn was so proud of herself. “So meet Hazel and Fire.”

I loved them instantly and I scooped Fire into my arms and Dawn picked up Hazel.

“Come in, come in.” I ushered them inside and gave them the grand tour of the house.

“Wow mom, this house is beautiful.” Newbie, who had his arm draped over Dawn’s shoulders, said as we ended the tour.

“And this island, well what we saw of it on the drive up here, is beautiful as well.” Dawn added.

“Well I can’t wait to show you around, but first let’s get you settled into your room.”

Their visit was such a wonderful one. Newbie and his new siblings got a long famously, but Leven and Dawn really hit things off.

“Leven, my dear why are you so sad?” I watched Dawn and Leven from the top of the stairs. Gosh you must all think I’m a creeper, but you know what? My house my rules 😉

“Ms. Dawn, have you ever had a broken heart?” I guess my telling her everyone goes through it didn’t really sink in, but I was glad she felt comfortable talking to Dawn.

“Of course Leven, before I fell for your brother I was in love with a man named Lerk. I thought he was the one for me and when we parted it was devastating. Why do you ask?”

Leven let it all out then. She told Dawn all about Brighton and how his family just left and she hasn’t even gotten a call, text, letter or email from him letting her know he was okay or that he was sorry they had to leave so suddenly.

Dawn had all the right words for the young Leven and by the end of the conversation they were both laughing. Sometimes a mother’s word is not taken, but the same words from a friend go a long way. I am not sure that Leven is completely over her loss, but talking to Dawn sure did help.

Many mornings Dawn and I would go out in the back, by the little pond we have, and do some yoga.  The children were sleeping late and the men were watching some brainless man show and we just enjoyed the quite.  The chipping of the birds, the crock of the frogs and the splashing of the fish, it was quite relaxing.

“So are you nervous about the wedding?” I asked Dawn causally as we sat in the cool waters of the pond one morning after yoga.

Dawn giggled nervously. “Should I be talking to you about this? You are my finances’ mother.”

“Dawn, I’m your friend too, but if you would rather….”

“Yes!” She blurted out. “I have no idea why either. I love Newbie and we already live together why would the marriage make me nervous?”

I took her hand. “Because things will change. They may be small subtle things, but things are going to change.”

“I’m not sure I want things to change, but I want to marry Newbie with all my heart and soul.”

“Honey, it will be fine. You two are perfect together.”

“Babe!” I heard Asher call from the house. “When are you going to make breakfast? The kids will be up soon.”

I looked at Dawn and we both laughed. “I don’t get him. He is the one who owns his own restaurant and teaches cooking and I am the one who has to make breakfast.” I rolled my eyes and we got out of the pond and headed toward the house.

Hi folks…I guess it is my turn to write in Ashby’s blog. I hope I don’t bore you all too much.

So two days before Dawn and Newbie were to leave I decided to take Newbie out for a day. Just the two of us doing guy stuff.

We spent the morning working on out golfing skills.  I’m still not that great but we had a good time.

Then I took him to the local bar and grill for some lunch.  Our conversations were filled with guy stuff like sports, our women and food.  It was a great bonding moment for us.  Newbie may not be my child, but I love all Ashby’s children as if they were my own.

After we ate we headed upstairs to play a little shuffle board. I decided that this was the time to bring up his impending marriage. I cleared my throat and began. “So Newbie, are you nervous about the wedding night.” I knew he caught my drift by the look on his face.

Newbie let out a deep laugh and looked at me. “Asher, Dawn and I have two kids together, remember?”

“I know, but your children are grown. It has been a while.”

“Also it wasn’t that long ago I was dating Breeze. I am an adult you know?”

I gulped loudly. This was not going as planned not at all.

“No offence Asher, but you’re not my dad.”

I knew he meant it in the most respectful way and he was right I’m not his dad, but the words still hurt. Ashby has 48 (49 counting Derrick) children and only five of them were mine. It is hard to in a relationship like that. I just wanted all her kids to be mine and to love me as if I were their father, but it just isn’t possible. “I’m sorry if I over stepped. I just thought since your father is an angel and he wasn’t around when you were growing up I could try to help in some way.” I was trying to hide the hurt expression on my face, but I think I failed at it.

Newbie’s face sank and he moved toward placing his hand on my shoulder. “Asher, you are a great man. You take care of my mom, love her and understand her challenge when most men wouldn’t. You love all of us as if we were yours and we love and respect you back. I would be proud to be your son, but we all have fathers.”

His words were precious to me. His mother really did raise him right. I wipe a single tear from my eye and smile at the lad before me.

“Come on Asher. Let’s head back to the house.”

It was our last night with our house guests and Dawn and I decided to head out to the local casino for a night of fun and gambling (smart gambling though).

We sat down at a table, both of us not really knowing what we were doing, and we handed the dealer our money and he gave us some red chips in return.

The first couple of rounds both Dawn and I seemed to have good hands. Hands that warranted one of us to get some money for it.

Then our luck began to change.  After we began to start losing our money the game wasn’t much fun anymore and we soon quit.

We had a great time at the casino and I was going to be sad when my friend and son left, but I also knew that I would be seeing them again soon to watch them down the aisle.

It seems like most flights off the island leave at night and Dawn and Newbie’s flight was no exception and since they had most of the day left we decided to go to the boardwalk for the day.

The kids were especially excited for this. We all watched as the younger ones played some skeet ball. Seely was the winner of this game. As I watched my kids I couldn’t help but worry about Seely and Jones being separated, but was glad that Fern, Tyme and Barklay included him in almost everything they did.

I stood next to my husband and couldn’t help but whisper in his ear how handsome he looked and how good he smelled.

These two are just the cutest ever.  I couldn’t wait for them to walk down the aisle and become man and wife.

Asher and I waited in line for the Ferris Wheel.  I just can’t stop myself from admiring his handsome face.

Newbie handed his camera to Asher. “Mom, come take a picture with Dawn and I.”
I walked over to the loving couple and Newbie threw his arm around me. “1…2…3…”Asher called and snapped this picture. FYI Dawn is not preggo….it is just the material on her shirt and the angle of the camera.

Then Newbie looked at his watch. “Mom we need to get our luggage out of your car. Our cab will be here in ten minutes.”

I sighed and looked into his face. I never had enough time with my kids ever. Not growing up and not when they visit. “Okay but first can we get a family picture?”

I gave my camera to the skeet ball vender and this is the picture he got of us:

Nice looking family if I do say so myself.

After the picture was taken we headed down to the car and got Newbie and Dawn’s luggage and soon their cab pulled up. We said our good-byes and as the sun began to sink they drove away and we got in to the car and headed home.

About a week after Newbie and Dawn left I decided to get moving with my challenge so I called up the next birthday stone guy.

Remember this guy?  This is Linen Pearl.  He was the next guy in line for my challenge and he ran right over when I called him.  We headed to the hospital and soon I was pregnant with baby 49.

During my pregnancy Leven and Hooper aged up and moved out of the house. What lovely young adults they were. Leven with her grandma’s hair coloring and my skin tone and eye coloring and Hopper with his dads hair and skin coloring and my eye coloring, gosh they are going to do well in whatever they do.

When the kids went back to school I decided to do some “spring” cleaning if you will. I had boxes that I inherited after my parents died that I had never sorted through and though this pregnancy would be a good time do this. What I found was priceless and brought tears to my eyes.

It was old pictures of my parents when my mom was pregnant with me.  I missed my parents so very much but finding these was more valuable than gold to me.

hahaha Mom you are too cute. What are you trying to seduce dad when you are about ready to give birth? I’m not sure I would appreciate that. HAHAHHA
Needless to say I got them framed and these pictures now hang up in my home.
I also got a package from my son Jones.

He had gone through the family albums and found a painter to paint this for me. It is a picture of me, my dad (if he were still living) and my boys that inherited my father’s genes.

From right to left (I know we usually say left to right, but it will make more sense doing it this way): Jones, Lawrence (my dad), Me (with my original hair color), Newbie, Dallas (Newbie’s son with Dawn) and Dallas’ son Ash (with Carlie Fey, Logan Fey’s daughter).

The children were settled back in school when the new baby, or should I say babies arrived.

Everyone meet Mason (baby 49), Monroe (baby 50) and Marko (baby 51).

Can you all believe it? I am now at the halfway mark. I am so excited. This is amazing. Thank you all for being a long on this ride. I love you all.
Again as always thank you all for reading and I would love to hear what you have to say about the challenge. Feedback, even bad (but not Hateful), is welcome. You can leave me a message here or on my Facebook page at Ashby Lemi.
Remember if you want any of my children I upload them as Young Adults and you can find their links on the table of content page.

Bablies 4,5,6 & Bennett

BABY 4, 5, 6 and Bennett

Here is my new look for now. I hope the next daddy likes it. I feel a little like a rock star even though I don’t sing or play the guitar.

I have to admit that I was rather shocked the Greyson was a single birth. I mean I did everything that I had read in other 100 baby challenge blogs. I listened to kid’s music all the time, even though I refer Custom Music, and I watched kids T.V. every chance I got, but still Greyson was the only child that came out of my pregnancy.

Don’t get me wrong I love the little man more than anything, well except for my other two children, but having multiples will sure help this challenge go a bit faster.

I was also very excited that he got his dad’s wonderful pink skin and I couldn’t wait to see how he aged up.

The girls understood that Greyson needed me at this stage of his life so they did other things to occupy their time. They read books, played games, did their homework, and most importantly started to become best friends. They knew that life as a child of a 100 baby challenge wasn’t going to be a picnic, but they also knew it was going to be great and who better to share the ups and downs with but your twin sisters. Having a twin meant that you had more than just half siblings and sharing a mother. It meant you shared the same mother and father and even though they too adored Greyson they knew their bond was going to be something to treasure forever.

The infancy of a child in the 100 baby challenge is short lived for they must age into a toddler so that the mom, me in this case, and start working on their skills such as walking, talking and using the loo by themselves.

Here is my little boy, my Greyson as a spunky tot. His father’s pink skin looks good with his steel eyes, that he got from my and I got from my dad Lawrence, and his dad’s and well his grandmother’s black hair.

You can download him here:

I got another one of those mysterious calls. This time it wasn’t a voice threatening me, but a static filled panicked voice. The voice sounded scared and all I could make out was “find my kids”.

“Harmony, Harmony is that you?” I yelled into the phone, but the line had already gone dead.

This scared me and made me nervous. I made a phone call to the local authorities and asked that they try to trace my last call. They told me that it would take a little while and that they would call me back; when they did they didn’t have any news for me. The call was too short lived to be traced.

Harmony where are you? What has happened to your kids?

Look at my little boy learning his skills in the blocks. Do you think he will roll the genius trait like his sister Hannah?

I was taking a break, while Greyson slept and the girls were at school, to play the latest EA game on my computer when I got an IM from Vi Newbie. Just in her typing she sounded excited and asked me if I was listening to the radio. I told her I wasn’t and she told me I had to turn it on immediately, apparently I had won something. Sure enough when I turned it on there was an announcement stating that I needed to call this phone number. When I dialed I got a hold of the radio station I use to listen to back in France. Before I got the news about Harmony and moved back stateside I had entered a drawing to meet my favorite French rock and roll band, the Classic’s. The radio station had been searching for me since and even though the time frame for me to receive my prize had past the lead singer/guitarist Classic Rock still wanted to meet me.

Arrangements were made and Classic Rock was on his way from France to stay with me and my kids for a couple of days. This was insane. I was super excited so I got back on my computer and IM’d all my 100 baby challenge moms; Vi Newbie, Della Wriner, Cadence Sierra, Cheyene Dakota,  Elizabeth Reting and Christy Quinn. They were all very excited for me and told me that once Classic Rock left I would have to blog all about it.

I set off right away to get the house ready for a famous person to enter.

You can download him here:

It was late when he arrived, but I had stayed up to greet him. I was nervous and all I could talk about was how much I loved his music and how big a fan I was of his.

Once I realized that I had babbling I was embarrassed, but he just smiled at me and asked if there was a place that he could rest. It had been a long flight and he was very tired. I showed him to the guest room and the house grew quiet for the night.

My sleep was cut short when I heard my little man crying from the nursery. I went straight to him. Poor baby had a bad dream. I picked him up and snuggled him until he calmed down. I was finally able to put him down and got a couple of more hours sleep myself.

The next day Classic asked Greyson and I would show him around town. I showed him all of Twinsbrook and we had a good time. At the end of the day we stopped by the park where I took some time to teach Greyson to walk.

When we got home that night I decided that I needed to get into better shape. I had decided, after finding out how great of a guy Classic was, to ask him to be part of my 100 baby challenge. In my mind’s eye the only way that he would say yes was to look like one of those rock star fans. I admit it now that it was a stupid idea and if someone doesn’t like you for who you are then they don’t deserve to be a part of your life.

Gosh were does the time go? It is already time for my little angles to become teenagers. I threw them a poolside party.

            First it was Harmony.

You can download her here:

What a beauty she is. I think she looks more like her dad with his dark skin and hair, but she has my eyes. She is going to break some hearts I think.

Next was her younger sister Hannah.

You can download her here:

The girls pondered what they wanted out of life. Finally Harmony decided she wanted to be a brain surgeon, but by the end of the party Hannah was still undecided.

Even though she didn’t know what she wanted to make of her life she knew what things interested her. She took to the martial arts like a fish to water. She loved it so much that she would take a break from her school work and with book still in hand kick and punch at the training dummy. It wasn’t long and she got good enough to earn her white belt.

Way to go Hannah. Mom is so proud of you darling.

To celebrate her white belt Hannah thought it would be fitting to shoot off some fireworks. They were breathtaking and all of Twinsbrook talk about them for weeks.

I am really starting to enjoy living in Twinsbrook. I have started to make friends. Apple Seed, Xerxes Storm’s girlfriend, and I have become quite good friends. Other then my fellow 100 baby challenge mothers I would have to say that Apple is my best friend right now.

I am pleased to announce that my baby, Harmony Starr, has her first crush. It is a crush at a distance for now, but I can’t wait to see if something comes out of it. His name is Arch Wakefield, which is weird because he is the son of Plum Tree, but his last name is Wakefield.  Isn’t he handsome?

You can download him here:

**Here is his mom Plum Tree**

You can download her here:

Classic had been with us for a week now and he was thinking about moving on. He told me that he had decided to stay in Twinsbrook because he could record his next album here and not in France. I knew it was time to ask him to participate in my challenge. I was a bit shy when I approached him.

At first he misunderstood and was excited to become my boyfriend, but I had to gently let him down and re-explain the rules to him.

He took it as rejection at first, but after I went through all the rules and how honored I would be for him to be a daddy to one of my children he decided to think about it.

It didn’t take him as long as I thought it would have taken him to come around. Being the hopeless romantic he was he gazed into my eyes and told me he would be the honored one.

He caught me off guard with a little kiss and then it was….

            Baby making time.

It is times like these when we 100 baby challenge mother’s wish we weren’t partaking in the challenge so we could settle down with a great guy. Classic was really great with my kids. This picture isn’t really what it seems. Classic is teaching Greyson how to potty train. Greyson took the teaching a lot better from a man then he did from me or the girls.

As the sun began to rise the next morning we could all hear Classic playing his sweet music, but when we all went down for breakfast he was gone. He left a sweet note that thanked us all for allowing him to be a part of our lives and that he would hold each of us special in his hearts. He went on to tell me that when the baby was ready to make sure to give him a call for he would like to be a part of his child’s life.

What a beautiful, unique and special man he turned out to be. Not at all like the typical rock star that I had built in my mind. I was more excited to meet my baby/babies now that I knew what a special father they had.

It was time for my little boy to age into a child. I decided a nice destination party would be the thing. I made a few calls and Greyson aged into a scrapping young chap at the beach.

What a strapping young chap with his father’s skin tone and dark hair and my steel grey eyes.

You can download him here:

It is moments like this that warms a mother’s heart. My three children sitting down together doing their homework, the older two are helping out their little brother. I just want to take these times and hold on tight.

Do you recall when I started this blog I expressed that I was going to adopt children as well as have them? The adoption agency called me and they finally have a special child for me to adopt. He is kind hearted but they were having trouble placing him because his is a little older then what most people want to adopt now-a-days. I jumped at the opportunity and told them to bring him over right away.

It was late when Matilda, the social worker, arrived with Bennett. I was outside working on my garden, I know weird, but it something that relaxes me before bed.  I was so pleased to meet him and he was so friendly right away.

After the social worker left Bennett and I took some time to get to know each other. I told him that in the morning he would meet his new Sisters and brother and soon there would be a baby in the house. When I announced my pregnancy he was ecstatic. He had only wish that he would find a home where he was wanted and not ignored and he couldn’t believe his good luck that he now has siblings. He asked if he could rub my tummy and I obliged.

I told him about the 100 baby challenge and he seemed a little leery about it, but I’m sure with time he will come to love being in a big family like this.

As we talked he told me that he really wanted a new style (clothes and hairstyle) to go a long with his new life. We went up into Greyson’s room (now his as well) and this is what he came up with:

He is such as handsome boy. If he didn’t have the blond hair you could almost mistake him as my biological son with his sun kissed skin and steel grey eyes.

The next day Harmony and Hannah told me that their dad had started to date Arch’s aunt, Plum’s twin sister, Olive Tree.

You can download her here:

Hannah went on to explain that once she and Harmony aged into young adults that she would like to get to know them. I told the girls that would be up to them and that I encourage them to at least get to know their dad better if nothing else.

Harmony was the most upset by this turn of events. She was worried that if her dad was dating Arch’s aunt then they couldn’t hang out. I explained to her that she and Arch aren’t related in any way and if the two of them liked each other it was okay explore their friendship. This advice seemed to make her happy.

Oh my look at my little girl. She is already a yellow belt. She is doing great with her martial arts.

Then it was time for me to head to the hospital. Classic came as soon as he was called and when I finally left I walked out with not one, not two but three little babes.

            I had three beautiful daughters:

Simi Starr (Thank you Missy for the name)

Stella Starr

And Sunshine Starr.

Thank you as always for reading and I would love to hear your thoughts about it. You can comment here or on my FB page.

I know this update wasn’t as eventful as I was hoping. I had a grand plan for this story, but since Harmony’s game went kaput I can’t re-download the kids that were in here house hold so I have to rethink of what I want to happen this blog. So the next entry or two won’t be what I had planned, but I still hope you continue to reading Ashby’s journey.

Ashby Starr – China & Babies 1&2

Once I was settled in I started make calls to Harmony’s children. The all agreed to come and see me except for Ambry. The disappearance of her mother and her siblings were too much for her to handle and she left Twinbrook with a note that said she would let the rest of the family know where she was once she is ready. This broke my heart.

First Xerxes, his family and Riley came over. I began right away grilling them for anything they could remember or could tell me about the emails they got from their mom in China. They pretty much told me the same as JayLeece had told me. How they were having a wonderful time and how she has met the next daddy in the challenge in China.

This was beyond frustrating but I wasn’t about to give up. The five of us had a nice visit, but we all knew that something heavy was in the air. These types of visits should be for a mom and their children not a 2nd cousin. However, it was wonderful getting to know these people better.

Next Giedon and Asia, LaRae, JayLeece; wither her kids, came to visit. Again the visit was great and I enjoyed getting to know Harmony’s children, but my mission was still at hand and I questioned them to see what they remembered and what the police were saying. They didn’t know much that could help and JayLeece was very angry with me for bringing it up. Her children were devastated about their grandmother’s disappearance and they were trying to move forward instead of living in the past. I could respect that and the rest of our visit was very short.

Lastly Destiny, Faith and Leonidas came over. Destiny, who is a cop, told me that there was a large amount of money taken out of her mom’s account during their third day in China. I told her that JayLeece didn’t tell me that and she reminded me she was cop and had access to things that JayLeece didn’t. I found this odd. We continued to talk about it and neither one of us could figure out why money was withdrawn or where it went.

Leon just wanted justice and his mother found. “It would be nice if they could find someone to put behind bars.” I agreed with him.

Overall the visits I had with Harmony’s kids had been wonderful. I loved getting to know them and meeting Harmony’s grandchildren.

A couple of days after they had left I was visited by this man:

His name is Bryce Badger. He told me that he had moved to Twinbrook in hopes to participate in Harmony’s 100 baby challenge. He went on to explain that he had heard about what happened to her and he was greatly disappointed. He was about ready to leave Twinbrook when he found out that I was partaking in the challenge so he decided to take a chance and come and visit me.

This was odd to me because I hadn’t officially begun to look for daddies nor had I really announce that I was doing the challenge. I asked him how he knew that I was going to do the challenge and he told me that he had received an email that had no from name on it.

We both found this odd, but I found him to be charming and honest so I asked him if he would like to spend the day with me and we could get to know one another.

We discovered that we both loved to dance. We spend the majority of the day talking, laughing and dancing. However, I could not commit to having him as part of the baby challenge just yet, because I wasn’t ready to start. I explained to him that the disappearance of my cousin was weighting heavily on my mind and I felt that I needed to travel to China before I started the challenge to see if I could find any clues about what happened to her.

He told me that he understood and to look him up once I am back stateside and ready to partake on the challenge. He was very serious about being daddy number one.

After he left I logged onto the computer and booked a ticket to China for the next day.

That night I couldn’t sleep so I spent my time playing on the goggles. I had great virtual adventures and I was ready to travel to China.

The view from the plan was breathtaking and despite my task at hand I was happy to be taking a vacation in China.

I set out straight away going to the local shops inquiring about Harmony. I showed her picture around and many of the vendors were being vague and some even said they didn’t remember seeing her. Even though their words were saying Harmony hadn’t been there, their eyes were saying another thing. I mean it is really had to forget a green Sim. No matter how hard I questioned them no one would admit to have meeting or seeing her or her kids.

I didn’t understand what was going on, but I didn’t let it deter me. Destiny had told me the name of baby 16, dad’s. His name was Cheng Hong. I looked him up in the local directory and set off for his house. What I found there was just more disappointment and something very peculiar. The Hong household was empty. The front door was wide open and it looked like a hurricane had hit the inside. It was almost like someone came in, grabbed the few things they needed or wanted and then fled. The atmosphere and the condition of the house left me feeling unsettled.

I didn’t know what else to do, face it I am no P.I., so I decided to head back to the local merchants to try and have some fun. There I met Shen Su. He was very nice and I was attracted to him.

The market was very slow so we decided to go outside and throw around the football. The two of us also had a picnic and I told him all about my cousin and why I was in China and what I was planning on doing when I got back stateside.

He understood about the challenge and told me that if I wanted him to participate then all I would have to do is ask. I contemplating asking him to be daddy #1, but I had all but promised that spot to Bryce. When I told him as much he just told me to keep him in mind and that he had always wanted to visit the USA.

During our talk Shen gave me a good idea to go and take the same adventure that JayLeece reported that her mom had emailed her about. I met the man in charge of that adventure and I was off.

I completed the whole adventure and even though at times the tomb was scary and creepy nothing happened to me nor did I find any clues that Harmony had been there. This brought up a lot more questions. However, I had a great time. This is what an adventurous Sims life should be like. I found the relic I was looking for and returned it to the man that assigned me the task.

My “vacation” was over before I knew it. I got Shen’s number and promised to keep in touch. Once back in Twinbrook I headed straight to mom and dad’s before going home. I report to them about what I found out, or really in this case what I didn’t find out, in China. They were excited that I as back and when I officially announced that I was going to start the 100 baby challenge they were both on board. Well that was until mom had a chance to really think about the rules of the challenge.

“Honey, don’t you think may people will think of you as a loose woman?” She questioned as her voice quivered.

I knew that she was worried as to what her old friends would think of her only child. “Yes mom many will find me easy, cheap or loose, but overall I think many Sims have come to accept the 100 baby challenge because there are so many challenge mothers out there now. There is Violet Newbie, Cadence Sierra, Della Wriner, Shenae Dakota, Ivy Windfield,  Elizabeth Reting and of course our own Harmony Storm. All of these women are or were,” I bowed my head when I thought of Harmony, “amazing. I am sure all of them had people citizen them and put them down, but they all over came and they have amazing lives and children.”

My mom knew I was right, but she was never one to back down so quickly. “But honey, you were going to travel the world and accomplish all of your dreams.”

My dad finally stepped it, “Mirid, our Ashby does have the adventurous trait but she also has the family trait. Our little girl is smart and funny and she will make herself happy in whatever she chooses. We just need to be strong and stand beside her in anything she chooses.”

Now can you see why my mom was okay with leaving her sister and friends to be with my dad? He is such a great and supportive guy.

As I drove home I decided that I better get started on my challenge and decided that when I got home I would call Bryce and see if he was ready to try for baby #1.

He came over straight away and without any further ado we got started. The sweet sounds of lullaby filled the room in no time and I was already excited to meet my little one or ones.

Yuck morning sickness, no wait it isn’t even morning. If this keeps up I am going to have a long pregnancy. These were some of my thoughts as I experienced pregnancy for the first time.

Comfort, rest, relaxation, these are the things my body craved during my 1st pregnancy so I spent as much time at the spa as I could. It is heavenly there every 100 baby challenge mom should treat themselves to a day at the spa.

The day I went into labor I went for a walk to town.   While having lunch at the Bistro I ran into Xerxes, Harmony’s eldest child, and announced my pregnancy. Like I really needed to announce it look how big I am. He was very excited for me and was honored that I was carrying on his mom’s life goal.

Shortly after talking to him I went into labor. I hailed a cab and quickly go to the hospital. On the way there I called Bryce and when I pulled up to the hospital he was there waiting for me.

The delivery was painful and long, but it was so worth it when I gazed upon my two perfect baby girls.

After thinking long and hard of names I feel I have picked the best names I could have for these two angels.

            Harmony Starr

I knew that naming my oldest daughter Harmony was the right thing to do. I also believe that running into Xerxes right before going into labor was a sign that I had made the right decision.

            And Hannah Starr.

Thank you for reading. I hope you are enjoying the new adventures of Ashby Starr. Comments are always welcome and you can post on my facebook page or here. I would love to hear from you.

Ashby Starr – Introduction

Ashby Starr: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=3177123

Hi my name is Ashby Starr, and I have moved back to Twinbrook to take on the 100 baby challenge. Some of you may have known my beloved cousin Harmony Storm. When I found out she disappeared in China my family and I rushed back to Twinbrook to find out what happened.

Growing up Harmony and I were as close as two cousins could be. We spent as much time together as we possibly could. She was my best friend and I was her’s. It was helpful that our mothers, sisters, had us just months apart and lived down the street from each other. However, it was difficult for Harmony’s mom, Callie Storm, to accept that her sister, Mirid Storm now Starr, married into money and she was a single mother.  As the years past Aunt Callie became more and more bitter toward her sister who got pretty much anything she wanted.

When I was eleven my father, Lawrence Starr, got offered a great job in France. He didn’t need to work, but loved books and old relics so when a famous museum offered him a job he wanted to jump in with both feet, but he had my mom and me to think about. He sat down with mom and since her relationship with her only sister was very strained and neither one of them had other family left they decided they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have me exposed to another culture. So away we moved to France.

Harmony and I kept in touch with letters, phone calls and email and I have been following her blog about her 100 baby challenge. I enjoyed seeing all of her beautiful children and knowing that she was happy.

About a week ago I got a call from my niece JayLeece Strom telling me that her mom, Emmett, Diamond, Onyx, Steel, Mordechai and Cervantes went on vacation to China. Their trip was planned for three days and have had been gone for almost a week when she called me.

She told me that she had been receiving a couple of emails from her mom a day telling her how much fun they were having and how she wished that she could have taken all of her children on vacation, but thanks to Emmett’s dad leaving a lot of money to them at the Forgotten Mansion she would be able to do more things like this for her upcoming children. JayLeece also told me that Harmony told her that she had met a man named Cheng Hong who had agreed to be part of the baby challenge and baby 16 would soon be on the way. She was excited to have a baby from a far off land. The family was scheduled to fly back late on their third day there and Harmony had sent an email to JayLeece telling her that she was going to do one of the many adventures that were out there.  Since that email no one had heard from Harmony or any of the 6 children that were on vacation with her.

With this information in hand my family and I packed up, tied up loose ends and moved back to Twinbrook.

My parents bought a beautiful Oasis home (created by glitzyangel) and immediately picked up the phone and started making calls regarding Harmony and her children.

Knowing I was about to embark on the 100 baby challenge and being from money I decided to buy the Racket’s 7 bedroom estate, and make it kid ready.  I know that having money and starting off in such a big house is breaking the rules of the challenge, but you have to remember my lifetime wish wasn’t going to be to have a family.  I was going to travel the world and be a free spirit, but I have chosen to honor Harmony instead.  During this challenge I have to be true to myself, but yet still maintain as many of the rules as I can, so I will be adding my own twist on things.  I Ashby Starr am vowing to partake in the 100 baby challenge, but I am also going to adopt as many kids as I can.  Our economy is really bad now and there are a lot of children out there that need a good home.  I will adopt children of all ages and sporadically throughout this challenge, but my ultimate goal is still having 100 children of my own before I become an elder.

I will also not give up on my cousin Harmony and I am going to find out what happened to her and her sweet children.

I hope to see every one of you along this journey of mine and am eager to report to you as I go.

                                         Your’s truley Ashby Starr
